flavio is an open source tool for phenomenological analyses in flavour physics and other precision observables in the Standard Model and beyond. It consists of a library to compute predictions for a plethora of observables in quark and lepton flavour physics and electroweak precision tests, a database of experimental measurements of these observables, a statistics package that allows to construct Bayesian and frequentist likelihoods, and of convenient plotting and visualization routines. New physics effects are parameterised as Wilson coefficients of dimension-six operators in the weak effective theory below the electroweak scale or the Standard Model EFT above it. At present, observables implemented include numerous rare $B$ decays (including angular observables of exclusive decays, lepton flavour and lepton universality violating $B$ decays), meson-antimeson mixing observables in the $B_{d,s}$, $K$, and $D$ systems, tree-level semi-leptonic $B$, $K$, and $D$ decays (including possible lepton universality violation), rare $K$ decays, lepton flavour violating $tau$ and $mu$ decays, $Z$ pole electroweak precision observables, the neutron electric dipole moment, and anomalous magnetic moments of leptons. Not only central values but also theory uncertainties of all observables can be computed. Input parameters and their uncertainties can be easily modified by the user. Written in Python, the code does not require compilation and can be run in an interactive session. This document gives an overview of the features as of version 1.0 but does not represent a manual. The full documentation of the code can be found in its web site.

We investigate asymptotically safe extensions of the Standard Model with new matter fields arising in the TeV energy range. The new sector contains singlet scalars and vector-like fermions in representations which permit Yukawa interactions with the Standard Model leptons. Phenomenological implications are explored including charged lepton flavour violation, Drell-Yan processes and lepton anomalous magnetic moments. For the latter, we find that BSM contributions can be sizeable enough to explain the present experimental discrepancies of the electron and muon anomalous magnetic moments with the Standard Model.
We present the invited lectures given at the Third IDPASC School which took place in Santiago de Compostela in January 2013. The students attending the school had very different backgrounds, some of them were doing their Ph.D. in experimental particle physics, others in theory. As a result, and in order to make the lectures useful for most of the students, we focused on basic topics of broad interest, avoiding the more technical aspects of Flavour Physics and CP Violation. We make a brief review of the Standard Model, paying special attention to the generation of fermion masses and mixing, as well as to CP violation. We describe some of the simplest extensions of the SM, emphasising novel flavour aspects which arise in their framework.
We present results from a state-of-the-art fit of electroweak precision observables and Higgs-boson signal-strength measurements performed using 7 and 8 TeV data from the Large Hadron Collider. Based on the HEPfit package, our study updates the traditional fit of electroweak precision observables and extends it to include Higgs-boson measurements. As a result we obtain constraints on new physics corrections to both electroweak observables and Higgs-boson couplings. We present the projected accuracy of the fit taking into account the expected sensitivities at future colliders.

Estimates of the CP violating observable $varepsilon/varepsilon$ have gained some attention in the past few years. Depending on the long-distance treatment used, they exhibit up to $2.9sigma$ deviation from the experimentally measured value. Such a deviation motivates the investigation of New Physics (NP) effects in the process $Ktopipi$. In my talk I will review the Standard Model (SM) prediction for $varepsilon/varepsilon$, with a special focus on the Dual QCD approach. On the NP side, I will discuss a recent computation of the hadronic matrix elements of NP operators. Furthermore a master formula for BSM effects in $varepsilon/varepsilon$ is presented. Finally, a treatment of $varepsilon/varepsilon$ using the SM effective theory (SMEFT) will be discussed together with possible correlations to other observables.

If observed, charged lepton flavour violation is a clear sign of new physics - beyond the Standard Model minimally extended to accommodate neutrino oscillation data. After a brief review of several charged lepton flavour violation observables and their current experimental status, we consider distinct extensions of the Standard Model which could potentially give rise to observable signals, focusing on the case of models in which the mechanism of neutrino mass generation is the common source of neutral and charged lepton flavour violation.
