Quantum mechanical properties like entanglement, discord and coherence act as fundamental resources in various quantum information processing tasks. Consequently, generating more resources from a few, typically termed as broadcasting is a task of utmost significance. One such strategy of broadcasting is through the application of cloning machines. In this article, broadcasting of quantum resources beyond $2 otimes 2$ systems is investigated. In particular, in $2otimes3$ dimension, a class of states not useful for broadcasting of entanglement is characterized for a choice of optimal universal Heisenberg cloning machine. The broadcasting ranges for maximally entangled mixed states (MEMS) and two parameter class of states (TPCS) are obtained to exemplify our protocol. A significant derivative of the protocol is the generation of entangled states with positive partial transpose in $3 otimes 3$ dimension and states which are absolutely separable in $2 otimes 2$ dimension. Moving beyond entanglement, in $2 otimes d$ dimension, the impossibility to optimally broadcast quantum correlations beyond entanglement (QCsbE) (discord) and quantum coherence ($l_{1}$-norm) is established. However, some significant illustrations are provided to highlight that non-optimal broadcasting of QCsbE and coherence are still possible.

We examine, in correlated mixed states of qudit-qubit systems, the set of all conditional qubit states that can be reached after local measurements at the qudit based on rank-1 projectors. While for a similar measurement at the qubit, the conditional post-measurement qudit states lie on the surface of an ellipsoid, for a measurement at the qudit we show that the set of post-measurement qubit states can form more complex solid regions. In particular, we show the emergence, for some classes of mixed states, of sets which are the convex hull of solid ellipsoids and which may lead to cone-like and triangle-like shapes in limit cases. We also analyze the associated measurement dependent conditional entropy, providing a full analytic determination of its minimum and of the minimizing local measurement at the qudit for the previous states. Separable rank-2 mixtures are also discussed.

Most studies of collective dephasing for bipartite as well as multipartite quantum systems focus on a very specific orientation of magnetic field, that is, z-orientation. However, in practical situations, there are always small fluctuations in stochastic field and it is necessary that more general orientations of fields should be considered. We extend this problem to qubit-qutrit systems and study correlation dynamics for entanglement and local quantum uncertainty for some specific quantum states. We find that certain quantum states exhibit freezing dynamics both for entanglement and local quantum uncertainty. We analyze the asymptotic states and find the conditions for having non-zero entanglement and local quantum uncertainty. Our results are relevant for ion-trap experiments and can be verified with current experimental setups.
We discuss the implementation of quantum algorithms for lattice $Phi^4$ theory on circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) system. The field is represented on qudits in a discretized field amplitude basis. The main advantage of qudit systems is that its multi-level characteristic allows the field interaction to be implemented only with diagonal single-qudit gates. Considering the set of universal gates formed by the single-qudit phase gate and the displacement gate, we address initial state preparation and single-qudit gate synthesis with variational methods.
The entanglement witness is an important and experimentally applicable tool for entanglement detection. In this paper, we provide a nonlinear improvement of any entanglement witness for $2otimes d$ quantum systems. Compared with any existing entanglement witness, the improved separability criterion only needs two more measurements on local observables. Detailed examples are employed to illustrate the efficiency of the nonlinear improvement for general, optimal and non-decomposable entanglement witnesses.
In Private Broadcasting, a single plaintext is broadcast to multiple recipients in an encrypted form, such that each recipient can decrypt locally. When the message is classical, a straightforward solution is to encrypt the plaintext with a single key shared among all parties, and to send to each recipient a copy of the ciphertext. Surprisingly, the analogous method is insufficient in the case where the message is quantum (i.e. in Quantum Private Broadcasting (QPB)). In this work, we give three solutions to $t$-recipient Quantum Private Broadcasting ($t$-QPB) and compare them in terms of key lengths. The first method is the independent encryption with the quantum one-time pad, which requires a key linear in the number of recipients, $t$. We show that the key length can be decreased to be logarithmic in $t$ by using unitary $t$-designs. Our main contribution is to show that this can be improved to a key length that is logarithmic in the dimension of the symmetric subspace, using a new concept that we define of symmetric unitary $t$-designs, that may be of independent interest.
