We study dynamical properties of dissipative XYZ Heisenberg lattices where anisotropic spin-spin coupling competes with local incoherent spin flip processes. In particular, we explore a region of the parameter space where dissipative magnetic phase transitions for the steady state have been recently predicted by mean-field theories and exact numerical methods. We investigate the asymptotic decay rate towards the steady state both in 1D (up to the thermodynamical limit) and in finite-size 2D lattices, showing that critical dynamics does not occur in 1D, but it can emerge in 2D. We also analyze the behavior of individual homodyne quantum trajectories, which well reveal the nature of the transition.

We explore critical properties of two-dimensional lattices of spins interacting via an anisotropic Heisenberg Hamiltonian and subject to incoherent spin flips. We determine the steady-state solution of the master equation for the density matrix via the corner-space renormalization method. We investigate the finite-size scaling and critical exponent of the magnetic linear susceptibility associated to a dissipative ferromagnetic transition. We show that the Von Neumann entropy increases across the critical point, revealing a strongly mixed character of the ferromagnetic phase. Entanglement is witnessed by the quantum Fisher information which exhibits a critical behavior at the transition point, showing that quantum correlations play a crucial role in the transition even though the system is in a mixed state.
Quantum correlation of bipartite states (beyond entanglement) in presence of environment is studied for Heisenberg XYZ spin system. It is shown that if the system is allowed to exchange energy with environment, the initial state evolves and settles down to uncorrelated state in asymptotic limit. We have also demonstrated that fidelity based measurement induced non-locality is a useful quantity in characterizing correlated quantum states.
We theoretically investigate the critical properties of a single driven-dissipative nonlinear photon mode. In a well-defined thermodynamical limit of large excitation numbers, the exact quantum solution describes a first-order phase transition in the regime where semiclassical theory predicts optical bistability. We study the behavior of the complex spectral gap associated with the Liouvillian superoperator of the corresponding master equation. We show that in this limit the Liouvillian gap vanishes exponentially and that the bimodality of the photon Wigner function disappears. The connection between the considered thermodynamical limit of large photon numbers for the single-mode cavity and the thermodynamical limit of many cavities for a driven-dissipative Bose-Hubbard system is discussed.

We investigate the steady-state phase diagram of the dissipative spin-1/2 XYZ model on a two-dimensional triangular lattice, in which each site is coupled to a local environment. By means of cluster mean-field approximation, we find that the steady-state phases of the system are rather rich, in particular there exist various types of nonuniform antiferromagnetic phases due to the geometrical frustration. As the short-range correlations included in the analysis, the numerical results show that the oscillatory phase disappears while the triantiferromagnetic and biantiferromagnetic phases remain to exist in the thermodynamic limit. Moreover, the existence of the spin-density-wave phase, which is missed by the single-site mean-field analysis, is also revealed by the spin-structure factor.
The interplay of synchronization and topological band structures with symmetry protected midgap states under the influence of driving and dissipation is largely unexplored. Here we consider a trimer chain of electron shuttles, each consisting of a harmonic oscillator coupled to a quantum dot positioned between two electronic leads. Each shuttle is subject to thermal dissipation and undergoes a bifurcation towards self-oscillation with a stable limit cycle if driven by a bias voltage between the leads. By mechanically coupling the oscillators together, we observe synchronized motion at the ends of the chain, which can be explained using a linear stability analysis. Due to the inversion symmetry of the trimer chain, these synchronized states are topologically protected against local disorder. Furthermore, with current experimental feasibility, the synchronized motion can be observed by measuring the dot occupation of each shuttle. Our results open a new avenue to enhance the robustness of synchronized motion by exploiting topology.
