Let $i$ be a reduced expression of the longest element in the Weyl group of type $A$, which is adapted to a Dynkin quiver with a single sink. We present a simple description of the crystal embedding of Young tableaux of arbitrary shape into $i$-Lusztig data, which also gives an algorithm for the transition matrix between Lusztig data associated to reduced expressions adapted to quivers with a single sink.
We formulate a general super duality conjecture on connections between parabolic categories O of modules over Lie superalgebras and Lie algebras of type A, based on a Fock space formalism of their Kazhdan-Lusztig theories which was initiated by Brundan. We show that the Brundan-Kazhdan-Lusztig (BKL) polynomials for Lie superalgebra gl(m|n) in our parabolic setup can be identified with the usual parabolic Kazhdan-Lusztig polynomials. We establish some special cases of the BKL conjecture on the parabolic category O of gl(m|n)-modules and additional results which support the BKL conjecture and super duality conjecture.
For a complex finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra $mathfrak{g}$, we introduce the notion of Q-datum, which generalizes the notion of a Dynkin quiver with a height function from the viewpoint of Weyl group combinatorics. Using this notion, we develop a unified theory describing the twisted Auslander-Reiten quivers and the twisted adapted classes introduced in [O.-Suh, J. Algebra, 2019] with an appropriate notion of the generalized Coxeter elements. As a consequence, we obtain a combinatorial formula expressing the inverse of the quantum Cartan matrix of $mathfrak{g}$, which generalizes the result of [Hernandez-Leclerc, J. Reine Angew. Math., 2015] in the simply-laced case. We also find several applications of our combinatorial theory of Q-data to the finite-dimensional representation theory of the untwisted quantum affine algebra of $mathfrak{g}$. In particular, in terms of Q-data and the inverse of the quantum Cartan matrix, (i) we give an alternative description of the block decomposition results due to [Chari-Moura, Int. Math. Res. Not., 2005] and [Kashiwara-Kim-O.-Park, arXiv:2003.03265], (ii) we present a unified (partially conjectural) formula of the denominators of the normalized R-matrices between all the Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules, and (iii) we compute the invariants $Lambda(V,W)$ and $Lambda^infty(V, W)$ introduced in [Kashiwara-Kim-O.-Park, Compos. Math., 2020] for each pair of simple modules $V$ and $W$.
We prove an explicit inverse Chevalley formula in the equivariant $K$-theory of semi-infinite flag manifolds of simply-laced type. By an inverse Chevalley formula, we mean a formula for the product of an equivariant scalar with a Schubert class, expressed as a $mathbb{Z}[q^{pm 1}]$-linear combination of Schubert classes twisted by equivariant line bundles. Our formula applies to arbitrary Schubert classes in semi-infinite flag manifolds of simply-laced type and equivariant scalars $e^{lambda}$, where $lambda$ is an arbitrary minuscule weight. By a result of Stembridge, our formula completely determines the inverse Chevalley formula for arbitrary weights in simply-laced type, except for type $E_8$. The combinatorics of our formula is governed by the quantum Bruhat graph, and the proof is based on a limit from the double affine Hecke algebra. As such, our formula also provides an explicit determination of all nonsymmetric $q$-Toda operators for minuscule weights in ADE type.
We introduce the notion of minimal reduction type of an affine Springer fiber, and use it to define a map from the set of conjugacy classes in the Weyl group to the set of nilpotent orbits. We show that this map is the same as the one defined by Lusztig, and that the Kazhdan-Lusztig map is a section of our map. This settles several conjectures in the literature. For classical groups, we prove more refined results by introducing and studying the ``skeleta of affine Springer fibers.
The paper considers subspaces of the strictly upper triangular matrices, which are stable under Lie bracket with any upper triangular matrix. These subspaces are called ad-nilpotent ideals and there are Catalan number of such subspaces. Each ad-nilpotent ideal meets a unique largest nilpotent orbit in the Lie algebra of all matrices. The main result of the paper is that under an equivalence relation on ad-nilpotent ideals studied by Mizuno and others, the equivalence classes are the ad-nilpotent ideals with the same largest nilpotent orbit. We include two applications of the result, one to the higher vanishing of cohomology groups of vector bundles on the flag variety and another to the Kazhdan-Lusztig cells in the affine Weyl group of the symmetric group. Finally, some combinatorial results are discussed.
