The goal of this work is to formulate a systematical method for looking for the simple closed form or continued fraction representation of a class of rational series. As applications, we obtain the continued fraction representations for the alternating Mathieu series and some rational series. The main tools are multiple-correction and two of Ramanujans continued fraction formulae involving the quotient of the gamma functions.

We consider the class of multiple Fourier series associated with functions in the Dirichlet space of the polydisc. We prove that every such series is summable with respect to unrestricted rectangular partial sums, everywhere except for a set of zero multi-parametric logarithmic capacity. Conversely, given a compact set in the torus of zero capacity, we construct a Fourier series in the class which diverges on this set, in the sense of Pringsheim. We also prove that the multi-parametric logarithmic capacity characterizes the exceptional sets for the radial variation and radial limits of Dirichlet space functions. As a by-product of the methods of proof, the results also hold in the vector-valued setting.

The main aim of this paper is to further develop the multiple-correction method that formulated in our previous works~cite{CXY, Cao}. As its applications, we establish a kind of hybrid-type finite continued fraction approximations related to BBP-type series of the constant $pi$ and other classical constants, such as Catalan constant, $pi^2$, etc.
Using generalized hypergeometric functions to perform symbolic manipulation of equations is of great importance to pure and applied scientists. There are in the literature a great number of identities for the Meijer-G function. On the other hand, when more complex expressions arise, the latter function is not capable of representing them. The H-function is an alternative to overcome this issue, as it is a generalization of the Meijer-G function. In the present paper, a new identity for the H-function is derived. In short, this result enables one to split a particular H-function into the sum of two other H-functions. The new relation in addition to an old result are applied to the summation of hypergeometric series. Finally, some relations between H-functions and elementary functions are built
We study convergence of 3D lattice sums via expanding spheres. It is well-known that, in contrast to summation via expanding cubes, the expanding spheres method may lead to formally divergent series (this will be so e.g. for the classical NaCl-Madelung constant). In the present paper we prove that these series remain convergent in Cesaro sense. For the case of second order Cesaro summation, we present an elementary proof of convergence and the proof for first order Cesaro summation is more involved and is based on the Riemann localization for multi-dimensional Fourier series.

In 1914, Kempner proved that the series 1/1 + 1/2 + ... + 1/8 + 1/10 + 1/11 + ... + 1/18 + 1/20 + 1/21 + ... where the denominators are the positive integers that do not contain the digit 9, converges to a sum less than 90. The actual sum is about 22.92068. In 1916, Irwin proved that the sum of 1/n where n has at most a finite number of 9s is also a convergent series. We show how to compute sums of Irwins series to high precision. For example, the sum of the series 1/9 + 1/19 + 1/29 + 1/39 + 1/49 + ... where the denominators have exactly one 9, is about 23.04428708074784831968. Another example: the sum of 1/n where n has exactly 100 zeros is about 10 ln(10) + 1.007x10^-197 ~ 23.02585; note that the first, and largest, term in this series is the tiny 1/googol.
