A set of interacting particles are coupled to a phenomenological core described using the generalized coherent state model. Among the particle-core states a finite set which have the property that the angular momenta carried by the proton and neutron quadrupole bosons and the particles, separately, are mutually orthogonal are identified. The magnetic properties of such states are studied. All terms of the model Hamiltonian exhibit chiral symmetry except the spin-spin interaction. There are four bands of the type with two-quasiparticle-core dipole states, exhibiting properties which are specific for magnetic twin bands. An application is presented, for the isotopes $^{188, 190}$Os.
To a phenomenological core described by the Generalized Coherent State Model a set of interacting particles are coupled. Among the particle-core states one identifies a finite set which have the property that the angular momenta carried by the proton and neutron quadrupole bosons and the particles respectively, are mutually orthogonal. The magnetic properties of such states are studied. All terms of the model Hamiltonian satisfy the chiral symmetry except for the spin-spin interaction. There are four bands of two quasiparticle-core dipole states type, which exhibit properties which are specific for magnetic twin bands. Application is made for the isotopes $^{188, 190}$Os.
The experimentally observed $Delta I = 1$ doublet bands in some odd-odd nuclei are analyzed within the orthosymplectic extension of the Interacting Vector Boson Model (IVBM). A new, purely collective interpretation of these bands is given on the basis of the obtained boson-fermion dynamical symmetry of the model. It is illustrated by its application to three odd-odd nuclei from the $Asim 130$ region, namely $^{126}Pr$, $^{134}Pr$ and $^{132}La$. The theoretical predictions for the energy levels of the doublet bands as well as $E2$ and $M1$ transition probabilities between the states of the yrast band in the last two nuclei are compared with experiment and the results of other theoretical approaches. The obtained results reveal the applicability of the orthosymplectic extension of the IVBM.
The static quadrupole moments (SQMs) of nuclear chiral doublet bands are investigated for the first time taking the particle-hole configuration $pi(1h_{11/2}) otimes u(1h_{11/2})^{-1}$ with triaxial deformation parameters in the range $260^circ leq gamma leq 270^circ$ as examples. The behavior of the SQM as a function of spin $I$ is illustrated by analyzing the components of the total angular momentum. It is found that in the region of chiral vibrations the SQMs of doublet bands are strongly varying with $I$, whereas in the region of static chirality the SQMs of doublet bands are almost constant. Hence, the measurement of SQMs provides a new criterion for distinguishing the modes of nuclear chirality. Moreover, in the high-spin region the SQMs can be approximated by an analytic formula with a proportionality to $cosgamma$ for both doublet bands. This provides a way to extract experimentally the triaxial deformation parameter $gamma$ for chiral bands from the measured SQMs.
The selfconsistent cranking approach is extended to the case of rotation about an axis which is tilted with respect to the principal axes of the deformed potential (Tilted Axis Cranking). Expressions for the energies and the intra bands electromagnetic transition probabilities are given. The mean field solutions are interpreted in terms of quantal rotational states. The construction of the quasiparticle configurations and the elimination of spurious states is discussed. The application of the theory to high spin data is demonstrated by analyzing the multi quasiparticle bands in the nuclide-s with $N=102,103$ and $Z=71,72,73$.
The survey of different configurations near Fermi surface of 138Nd results in 12 lowest configurations, at both positive- and negative-deformations. These are calculated to be the energetically lowest configurations. The results show that, for both EDFs, the rotational states based on positive-minimum, which is at gamma~35, are lower than the respective configurations with negative-deformation. The general trends of the spin-versus-omega curve, and the energy-versus-spin curve reproduce well those of the experimental data. Further, for the observed bands `T1-T8, the calculated results using SLy4L allows the configurations of the observed bands to be assigned. The calculations predict transitional quadrupole moments, which can be used to compare with future experimental data. The current cranked self-consistent mean-field calculations of the near-yrast high-spin rotational bands in 138Nd reproduce well the experimental data. The results suggest that the experimentally observed bands can be assigned to the calculated bands with various configurations at the positive-deformation. The predictions of the current calculations are complementary to that of the well-know macroscopic-microscopic calculations, both of which await future experiment to verify.
