In this work we discuss the elements required for the construction of the operator algebra for the space of paths over a simply laced $SU(3)$ graph. These operators are an important step in the construction of the bialgebra required to find the partition functions of some modular invariant CFTs. We define the cup and cap operators associated with back-and-forth sequences and add them to the creation and annihilation operators in the operator algebra as they are required for the calculation of the full space of essential paths prescribed by the fusion algebra. These operators require collapsed triangular cells that had not been found in previous works; here we provide explicit values for these cells and show their importance in order for the cell system to fulfill the Kuperberg relations for $SU(3)$ tangles. We also find that demanding that our operators satisfy the Temperley-Lieb algebra leads one naturally to consider operators that create and annihilate closed triangular sequences, which in turn provides an alternative the cup and cap operators as they allow one to replace back-and-forth sequences with closed triangular ones. We finally show that the essential paths obtained by using closed triangles are equivalent to those obtained originally using back-and-forth sequences.
We discuss transformations generated by dynamical quantum systems which are bi-unitary, i.e. unitary with respect to a pair of Hermitian structures on an infinite-dimensional complex Hilbert space. We introduce the notion of Hermitian structures in generic relative position. We provide few necessary and sufficient conditions for two Hermitian structures to be in generic relative position to better illustrate the relevance of this notion. The group of bi-unitary transformations is considered in both the generic and non-generic case. Finally, we generalize the analysis to real Hilbert spaces and extend to infinite dimensions results already available in the framework of finite-dimensional linear bi-Hamiltonian systems.
The quantum SL(3,C) invariant spin magnet with infinite-dimensional principal series representation in local spaces is considered. We construct eigenfunctions of Sklyanin B-operator which define the representation of separated variables of the model.
An orthogonal basis of the Hilbert space for the quantum spin chain associated with the su(3) algebra is introduced. Such kind of basis could be treated as a nested generalization of separation of variables (SoV) basis for high-rank quantum integrable models. It is found that all the monodromy-matrix elements acting on a basis vector take simple forms. With the help of the basis, we construct eigenstates of the su(3) inhomogeneous spin torus (the trigonometric su(3) spin chain with antiperiodic boundary condition) from its spectrum obtained via the off-diagonal Bethe Ansatz (ODBA). Based on small sites (i.e. N=2) check, it is conjectured that the homogeneous limit of the eigenstates exists, which gives rise to the corresponding eigenstates of the homogenous model.
In this paper we reconsider the problem of the Euler parametrization for the unitary groups. After constructing the generic group element in terms of generalized angles, we compute the invariant measure on SU(N) and then we determine the full range of the parameters, using both topological and geometrical methods. In particular, we show that the given parametrization realizes the group $SU(N+1)$ as a fibration of U(N) over the complex projective space $mathbb{CP}^n$. This justifies the interpretation of the parameters as generalized Euler angles.
A universal C*-algebra of the electromagnetic field is constructed. It is represented in any quantum field theory which incorporates electromagnetism and expresses basic features of this field such as Maxwells equations, Poincare covariance and Einstein causality. Moreover, topological properties of the field resulting from Maxwells equations are encoded in the algebra, leading to commutation relations with values in its center. The representation theory of the algebra is discussed with focus on vacuum representations, fixing the dynamics of the field.
