Supersymmetry is under pressure from LHC searches requiring colored superpartners to be heavy. We demonstrate R-parity violating spectra for which the dominant signatures are not currently well searched for at the LHC. In such cases, the bounds can be as low as 800 GeV on both squarks and gluinos. We demonstrate that there are nontrivial constraints on squark and gluino masses with baryonic RPV (UDD operators) and show that in fact leptonic RPV can allow comparable or even lighter superpartners. The constraints from many searches are weakened if the LSP is significantly lighter than the colored superpartners, such that it is produced with high boost. The LSP decay products will then be collimated, leading to the miscounting of leptons or jets and causing such models to be missed even with large production cross-sections. Other leptonic RPV scenarios that evade current searches include the highly motivated case of a higgsino LSP decaying to a tau and two quarks, and the case of a long-lived LSP with a displaced decay to electrons and jets. The least constrained models can have SUSY production cross-sections of ~pb or larger, implying tens of thousands of SUSY events in the 8 TeV data. We suggest novel searches for these signatures of RPV, which would also improve the search for general new physics at the LHC.

The search for heavy Higgs bosons is an essential step in the exploration of the Higgs sector and in probing the Supersymmetric parameter space. This paper discusses the constraints on the M(A) and tan beta parameters derived from the bounds on the different decay channels of the neutral H and A bosons accessible at the LHC, in the framework of the phenomenological MSSM. The implications from the present LHC results and the expected sensitivity of the 14 TeV data are discussed in terms of the coverage of the [M(A) - tan beta] plane. New channels becoming important at 13 and 14 TeV for low values of tan beta are characterised in terms of their kinematics and the reconstruction strategies. The effect of QCD systematics, SUSY loop effects and decays into pairs of SUSY particles on these constraints are discussed in details.
Motivated by the absence of any clear signal of physics beyond the Standard Model at the LHC after Run I, we discuss one possible slight hint of new physics and one non-minimal extension of the Standard Model. In the first part we provide a tentative explanation of a small excess of multilepton events, observed by the CMS collaboration, by means of a simplified model of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking. In the second part we discuss how the standard phenomenology of gauge mediation can be significantly modified if one makes the non-minimal assumption that supersymmetry is broken in more than one hidden sector. Such multiple hidden sector models involve light neutral fermions called pseudo-goldstini and, due to the extra decay steps they induce, where soft photons are emitted, these models give rise to multiphoton plus missing energy signatures. We discuss why the existing LHC searches are poorly sensitive to these model and we propose new searches designed to probe them.
SCYNet (SUSY Calculating Yield Net) is a tool for testing supersymmetric models against LHC data. It uses neural network regression for a fast evaluation of the profile likelihood ratio. Two neural network approaches have been developed: one network has been trained using the parameters of the 11-dimensional phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (pMSSM-11) as an input and evaluates the corresponding profile likelihood ratio within milliseconds. It can thus be used in global pMSSM-11 fits without time penalty. In the second approach, the neural network has been trained using model-independent signature-related objects, such as energies and particle multiplicities, which were estimated from the parameters of a given new physics model. While the calculation of the energies and particle multiplicities takes up computation time, the corresponding neural network is more general and can be used to predict the LHC profile likelihood ratio for a wider class of new physics models.

The detection of pairs of sleptons, charginos and charged higgs bosons produced via photon-photon fusion at the LHC is studied, assuming a couple of benchmark points of the MSSM model. Due to low cross sections, it requires large integrated luminosity, but thanks to the striking signature of these exclusive processes the backgrounds are low, and are well known. Very forward proton detectors can be used to measure the photon energies, allowing for direct determination of masses of the lightest SUSY particle, of selectrons and smuons with a few GeV resolution. Finally, the detection and mass measurement of quasi-stable particles predicted by the so-called sweet spot supersymmetry is discussed.

We discuss two striking Large Hadron Collider (LHC) signatures of the constrained version of the exceptional supersymmetric standard model (cE6SSM), based on a universal high energy soft scalar mass m_0, soft trilinear coupling A_0 and soft gaugino mass M_{1/2}. The first signature we discuss is that of light exotic colour triplet charge 1/3 fermions, which we refer to as D-fermions. We calculate the LHC production cross section of D-fermions, and discuss their decay patterns. Secondly we discuss the E6 type U(1)_N spin-1 Z gauge boson and show how it may decay into exotic states, increasing its width and modifying the line shape of the dilepton final state. We illustrate these features using two representative cE6SSM benchmark points, including an early LHC discovery point, giving the Feynman rules and numerical values for the relevant couplings in order to facilitate further studies.
