A combination of lattice and continuum data for the light-quark V-A correlator, supplemented by results from a chiral sum-rule analysis of the flavor-breaking flavor $ud$-$us$ V-A correlator difference, is shown to make possible a high-precision NNLO determination of the renormalized NLO chiral low-energy constant $L_{10}^r$. Key to this determination is the ability to simultaneously fix the two combinations of NNLO low-energy constants also entering the analysis. With curre
We present preliminary results on extractions of the chiral LECs L_10 and C_87 and constraints on the excited pseudoscalar state pi(1300) and pi(1800) decay constants obtained from an analysis of lattice data for the flavor ud light quark V-A correlator. A comparison of the results for the correlator to the corresponding mildly-model-dependent continuum results (based primarily on experimental hadronic tau decay data) is also given
We analyze the structure of generalized off-diagonal and transverse-momentum dependent quark-quark and gluon-gluon correlators for a spin-1/2 hadron. Using the light-front formalism, we provide a parametrization in terms of the parton generalized transverse-momentum dependent distributions that emphasizes the multipole structure of the correlator. The results for the quark-quark correlation functions are consistent with an alternative parametrization given in terms of Lorentz covariant structures. The parametrization for the gluon-gluon generalized correlator is presented for the first time and allows one to introduce new correlation functions which can be relevant for phenomenological applications.
We present two-loop results for the quark condensate in an external magnetic field within chiral perturbation theory using coordinate space techniques. At finite temperature, we explore the impact of the magnetic field on the pion-pion interaction in the quark condensate for arbitrary pion masses and derive the correct weak magnetic field expansion in the chiral limit. At zero temperature, we provide the complete two-loop representation for the vacuum energy density and the quark condensate.
We present an analysis of the isospin-one V-A correlator based on our successful simultaneous description of the OPAL V and A non-strange tau spectral data. We discuss the values obtained for the Chiral Perturbation Theory low-energy constants L_10 and C_87 as well as the dimension-six and eight condensates and compare them with those in the literature.
We report a complete calculation of the quark and glue momenta and angular momenta in the proton. These include the quark contributions from both the connected and disconnected insertions. The calculation is carried out on a $16^3 times 24$ quenched lattice at $beta = 6.0$ and for Wilson fermions with $kappa = 0.154, 0.155,$ and 0.1555 which correspond to pion masses at 650, 538, and 478 MeV. The quark loops are calculated with $Z_4$ noise and signal-to-noise is improved further with unbiased subtractions. The glue operator is comprised of gauge-field tensors constructed from the overlap operator. The $u$ and $d$ quark momentum/angular momentum fraction is 0.66(5)/0.72(5), the strange momentum/angular momentum fraction is 0.024(6)/0.023(7), and that of the glue is 0.31(6)/0.25(8). The orbital angular momenta of the quarks are obtained from subtracting the angular momentum component from its corresponding spin. As a result, the quark orbital angular momentum constitutes 0.50(2) of the proton spin, with almost all it coming from the disconnected insertion. The quark spin carries a fraction 0.25(12) and glue carries a fraction 0.25(8) of the total proton spin.
