In the two body hadronic tau decays, such as tau->to K pi (eta)nu, vector mesons play important role. Belle and Babar measured hadronic invariant mass spectrum of tau -> K pi nu decay. To compare the spectrum with theoretical prediction, we develop the chiral Lagrangian with vector mesons in Kimura:2012nx. We compute the form factors of the hadronic tau decay taking account of the quantum corrections of Nambu Goldstone bosons. We also show how to renormalizethe divergence of the Feynman diagrams with arbitrary number of loops and determine the counterterms within one loop using background field method. In this report, we discuss the renormalization of Kimura:2012nx by considering the one loop Feynman diagrams.

I discuss recent applications of QCD light-cone sum rules to various form factors of pseudoscalar mesons. In this approach both soft and hard contributions to the form factors are taken into account. Combining QCD calculation with the analyticity of the form factors, one enlarges the region of accessible momentum transfers.
The vector and axial-vector ALEPH hadronic spectral functions from $tau$-decay are used to probe potential quark-hadron duality violations (DV). This is done in the framework of finite energy QCD sum rules (FESR). A pinched integration kernel is introduced in the FESR in order to (a) quench potential duality violations on the real axis in the complex squared energy $s$-plane, and (b) effectively extend the analysis well beyond the kinematical $tau$-decay end-point where there is no longer data, i.e. in the range $s = 3 - 10 ,{mbox{GeV}}^2$. In the vector channel this procedure is supplemented with actual data from $e^+ e^-$-annihilation into hadrons, above the tau-decay kinematical end-point, with results fully supporting this extension. Very good agreement is obtained between data and two specific pinched FESR. Results from this analysis are confronted with those from a specific model of DV. As the sum rules are well satisfied in both cases within experimental errors, we conclude that possible DV must be buried under the experimental uncertainties. In other words, there seems to be no need for explicit models of DV in this case. Pinched kernels work as well, but with far less free parameters.
The magnetic polarisability is a fundamental property of hadrons, which provides insight into their structure in the low-energy regime. The pion magnetic polarisability is calculated using lattice QCD in the presence of background magnetic fields. The results presented are facilitated by the introduction of a new magnetic-field dependent quark-propagator eigenmode projector and the use of the background-field corrected clover fermion action. The magnetic polarisabilities are calculated in a relativistic formalism, and the excellent signal-to-noise property of pion correlation functions facilitates precise values.
We discuss sum-rule determinations of $alpha_s$ from non-strange hadronic $tau$-decay data. We investigate, in particular, the reliability of the assumptions underlying the truncated OPE strategy, which specifies a certain treatment of non-perturbative contributions, and which was employed in Refs. [1-3]. Here, we test this strategy by applying the strategy to the $R$-ratio obtained from $e^+e^-$ data, which extend beyond the $tau$ mass, and, based on the outcome of these tests, we demonstrate the failure of this strategy. We then present a brief overview of new results on the form of duality-violating non-perturbative contributions, which are conspicuously present in the experimentally determined spectral functions. As we show, with the current precision claimed for the extraction of $alpha_s$, including a representation of duality violations is unavoidable if one wishes to avoid uncontrolled theoretical errors.
Improving previous calculations, we compute the $D + bar{D} to J/psi + pi $ cross section using the most complete effective lagrangians available. The new crucial ingredients are the form factors on the charm meson vertices, which are determined from QCD sum rules calculations. Some of them became available only very recently and the last one, needed for our present purpose, is calculated in this work.
