Many quantum integrable systems are obtained using an accelerator physics technique known as Ermakov (or normalized variables) transformation. This technique was used to create classical nonlinear integrable lattices for accelerators and nonlinear integrable plasma traps. Now, all classical results are carried over to a nonrelativistic quantum case.
Two planar supersymmetric quantum mechanical systems built around the quantum integrable Kepler/Coulomb and Euler/Coulomb problems are analyzed in depth. The supersymmetric spectra of both systems are unveiled, profiting from symmetry operators not related to invariance with respect to rotations. It is shown analytically how the first problem arises at the limit of zero distance between the centers of the second problem. It appears that the supersymmetric modified Euler/Coulomb problem is a quasi-isospectral deformation of the supersymmetric Kepler/Coulomb problem.
Resonant systems emerge as weakly nonlinear approximations to problems with highly resonant linearized perturbations. Examples include nonlinear Schroedinger equations in harmonic potentials and nonlinear dynamics in Anti-de Sitter spacetime. The classical dynamics within this class of systems can be very rich, ranging from fully integrable to chaotic as one changes the values of the mode coupling coefficients. Here, we initiate a study of quantum infinite-dimensional resonant systems, which are mathematically a highly special case of two-body interaction Hamiltonians (extensively researched in condensed matter, nuclear and high-energy physics). Despite the complexity of the corresponding classical dynamics, the quantum version turns out to be remarkably simple: the Hamiltonian is block-diagonal in the Fock basis, with all blocks of varying finite sizes. Being solvable in terms of diagonalizing finite numerical matrices, these systems are thus arguably the simplest interacting quantum field theories known to man. We demonstrate how to perform the diagonalization in practice, and study both numerical patterns emerging for the integrable cases, and the spectral statistics, which efficiently distinguishes the special integrable cases from generic (chaotic) points in the parameter space. We discuss a range of potential applications in view of the computational simplicity and dynamical richness of quantum resonant systems.
In this paper we define a quantization of the Double Ramification Hierarchies of [Bur15b] and [BR14], using intersection numbers of the double ramification cycle, the full Chern class of the Hodge bundle and psi-classes with a given cohomological field theory. We provide effective recursion formulae which determine the full quantum hierarchy starting from just one Hamiltonian, the one associated with the first descendant of the unit of the cohomological field theory only. We study various examples which provide, in very explicit form, new $(1+1)$-dimensional integrable quantum field theories whose classical limits are well-known integrable hierarchies such as KdV, Intermediate Long Wave, Extended Toda, etc. Finally we prove polynomiality in the ramification multiplicities of the integral of any tautological class over the double ramification cycle.
In the first part of the paper, we classify linear integrable (multi-dimensionally consistent) quad-equations on bipartite isoradial quad-graphs in $mathbb C$, enjoying natural symmetries and the property that the restriction of their solutions to the black vertices satisfies a Laplace type equation. The classification reduces to solving a functional equation. Under certain restriction, we give a complete solution of the functional equation, which is expressed in terms of elliptic functions. We find two real analytic reductions, corresponding to the cases when the underlying complex torus is of a rectangular type or of a rhombic type. The solution corresponding to the rectangular type was previously found by Boutillier, de Tili`ere and Raschel. Using the multi-dimensional consistency, we construct the discrete exponential function, which serves as a basis of solutions of the quad-equation. In the second part of the paper, we focus on the integrability of discrete linear variational problems. We consider discrete pluri-harmonic functions, corresponding to a discrete 2-form with a quadratic dependence on the fields at black vertices only. In an important particular case, we show that the problem reduces to a two-field generalization of the classical star-triangle map. We prove the integrability of this novel 3D system by showing its multi-dimensional consistency. The Laplacians from the first part come as a special solution of the two-field star-triangle map.
Using deformation quantization and suitable 2 by 2 quantum $R$-matrices we show that a list of Toda like classical integrable systems given by Y.B.Suris is quantum integrable in the sense that the classical conserved quantities (which are already in involution with respect to the Poisson bracket) commute with respect to the standard star-product of Weyl type in flat $2n$-dimensional space.
