The first physics results from the TOTEM experiment are here reported, concerning the measurements of the total, differential elastic, elastic and inelastic pp cross-section at the LHC energy of $sqrt{s}$ = 7 TeV, obtained using the luminosity measurement from CMS. A preliminary measurement of the forward charged particle $eta$ distribution is also shown.

Since 1986, several heavy ion experiments have studied some signatures of the formation of the quark-gluon plasma and a few exciting results have been found. However, some important questions are still unanswered and require new measurements. The NA60 experiment, with a new detector concept that vastly improves dimuon detection in proton-nucleus and heavy-ion collisions, studies several of those open questions, including the production of open charm. This paper presents the experiment and some first results from data collected in 2002.

PHOBOS is one of four experiments studying Au-Au collisions at RHIC. During the first running period RHIC provided Au+Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}$ = 56 GeV and 130 GeV. The data collected during this period allowed us to study the energy and centrality dependence of particle production, the anisotropy of the final state azimuthal distribution and particle ratios at mid-rapidity.
The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab ran with its first commissioning beam in late 2014 and the spring of 2015. Data were collected on both plastic and liquid hydrogen targets, and much of the detector has been commissioned. All of the detector systems are now performing at or near design specifications and events are being fully reconstructed, including exclusive production of $pi^{0}$, $eta$ and $omega$ mesons. Linearly-polarized photons were successfully produced through coherent bremsstrahlung and polarization transfer to the $rho$ has been observed.

We describe the most recent results from the TOTEM collaboration at the LHC, namely the elastic cross section measurements at a center-of-mass on 2.76, 7, 8 and 13 TeV. No structure or resonance is observed at high $t$ at high center-of-mass energies. A pure exponential form of $d sigma/dt$ is excluded both at 8 and 13 TeV. Accessing the very low $t$ region allows measuring the $rho$ parameter at 13 TeV.

It is expected that a radio signal in the microwave range is produced in the atmosphere due to molecular bremsstrahlung initiated by extensive air showers. The CROME (Cosmic-Ray Observation via Microwave Emission) experiment was built to search for this microwave signal. Radiation from the atmosphere is monitored in the extended C band (3.4--4.2 GHz) in coincidence with showers detected by the KASCADE-Grande experiment. The detector setup consists of several parabolic antennas and fast read-out electronics. The sensitivity of the detector has been measured with different methods. First results after half a year of data taking are presented.
