Monte-Carlo generator with photon jets radiation in collinear regions for the process eegg is described in detail. Radiative corrections in the first order of $alpha$ are treated exactly. Large leading logarithmic corrections coming from collinear regions are taken into account in all orders of $alpha$ by applying the Structure Function approach. Theoretical precision of the cross section with radiative corrections is estimated to be 0.2%. This process is considered as an additional tool to measure luminosity in forthcoming experiments with the CMD-3 detector at the $e^+e^-$ collider VEPP-2000.
Results of the SND experiment at the VEPP-2M e+ e- collider on the QED processes e+ e- --> e+ e- gamma and e+ e- --> e+ e- gamma gamma with production at large angles are presented. Energy and angular distributions of the final particles were studied. No deviations from QED with an accuracy of 3.8% for the first process and 10.3% for the second were found.
The analysis of a combined data set, totaling 3.6 times 10^14 stopped muons on target, in the search for the lepton flavour violating decay mu^+ -> e^+ gamma is presented. The data collected by the MEG experiment at the Paul Scherrer Institut show no excess of events compared to background expectations and yield a new upper limit on the branching ratio of this decay of 5.7 times 10^-13 (90% confidence level). This represents a four times more stringent limit than the previous world best limit set by MEG.
A description and the use of an event-generator code for two-photon processes at e+e- colliders, TREPS, are presented. This program uses an equivalent photon approximation in which the virtuality of photons is taken into account. It is applicable to various processes by specifying a combination of final-state particles and the angular distributions among them. A comparison of the results with those from other programs is also given.
We describe the new version of the Monte Carlo event generator WOPPER for four fermion production through W-pairs including resummed leading logarithmic QED radiative corrections. Among the new features included are singly resonant background diagrams and anomalous triple gauge boson couplings.
The presently world largest data sample of pi0 --> gamma e+e- decays containing nearly 5E5 events was collected using the WASA detector at COSY. A search for a dark photon U produced in the pi0 --> gamma U --> gamma e+e- decay from the pp-->pppi^0 reaction was carried out. An upper limit on the square of the U-gamma mixing strength parameter epsilon^2 of 5e-6 at 90% CL was obtained for the mass range 20 MeV <M_U< 100 MeV. This result together with other recent experimental limits significantly reduces the M_U vs. epsilon^2 parameter space preferred by the measured value of the muon anomalous magnetic moment.
