We study the asymptotic behavior of empirical processes generated by measurable bounded functions of an infinite source Poisson transmission process when the session length have infinite variance. In spite of the boundedness of the function, the normalized fluctuations of such an empirical process converge to a non-Gaussian stable process. This phenomenon can be viewed as caused by the long-range dependence in the transmission process. Completing previous results on the empirical mean of similar types of processes, our results on non-linear bounded functions exhibit the influence of the limit transmission rate distribution at high session lengths on the asymptotic behavior of the empirical process. As an illustration, we apply the main result to estimation of the distribution function of the steady state value of the transmission process.

Consider a uniformly sampled random $d$-regular graph on $n$ vertices. If $d$ is fixed and $n$ goes to $infty$ then we can relate typical (large probability) properties of such random graph to a family of invariant random processes (called typical processes) on the infinite $d$-regular tree $T_d$. This correspondence between ergodic theory on $T_d$ and random regular graphs is already proven to be fruitful in both directions. This paper continues the investigation of typical processes with a special emphasis on entropy. We study a natural notion of micro-state entropy for invariant processes on $T_d$. It serves as a quantitative refinement of the notion of typicality and is tightly connected to the asymptotic free energy in statistical physics. Using entropy inequalities, we provide new sufficient conditions for typicality for edge Markov processes. We also extend these notions and results to processes on unimodular Galton-Watson random trees.
In this paper, we derive a simple drift condition for the stability of a class of two-dimensional Markov processes, for which one of the coordinates (also referred to as the {em phase} for convenience) has a well understood behaviour dependent on the other coordinate (also referred as {em level}). The first (phase) components transitions may depend on the second component and are only assumed to be eventually independent. The second (level) component has partially bounded jumps and it is assumed to have a negative drift given that the first one is in its stationary distribution. The results presented in this work can be applied to processes of the QBD (quasi-birth-and-death) type on the quarter- and on the half-plane, where the phase and level are interdependent. Furthermore, they provide an off-the-shelf technique to tackle stability issues for a class of two-dimensional Markov processes. These results set the stepping stones towards closing the existing gap in the literature of deriving easily verifiable conditions/criteria for two-dimensional processes with unbounded jumps and interdependence between the two components.

We are interested in the increment stationarity property for $L^2$-indexed stochastic processes, which is a fairly general concern since many random fields can be interpreted as the restriction of a more generally defined $L^2$-indexed process. We first give a spectral representation theorem in the sense of citet{Ito54}, and see potential applications on random fields, in particular on the $L^2$-indexed extension of the fractional Brownian motion. Then we prove that this latter process is characterized by its increment stationarity and self-similarity properties, as in the one-dimensional case.

In this paper, a kernel estimator of the differential entropy of the mark distribution of a homogeneous Poisson marked point process is proposed. The marks have an absolutely continuous distribution on a compact Riemannian manifold without boundary. $L^2$ and almost surely consistency of this estimator as well as its asymptotic normality are investigated.
We present a central limit theorem for stationary random fields that are short-range dependent and asymptotically independent. As an application, we present a central limit theorem for an infinite family of interacting It^o-type diffusion processes.
