A study of the inclusive charged hadron production in two-photon collisions is described. The data were collected with the DELPHI detector at LEP II. Results on the inclusive single-particle p_T distribution and the differential charged hadrons dsigma/dp_T cross-section are presented and compared to the predictions of perturbative NLO QCD calculations and to published results.

New results on inclusive production of Sigma^- and Lambda(1520) and on proton production in quark and gluon jets are presented. These results are based on 2 million hadronic Z decays collected with the DELPHI detector at LEP. They are compared with the results of other LEP experiments and with models. It has been shown that the total production rates of all light-flavour hadrons measured so far at LEP 1 follow phenomenological laws related to the spin, isospin, strangeness and mass of the particles. A significant proton enhancement in gluon jets is observed, indicating that baryon production proceeds directly from colour objects.

The measurement of the moments of hadronic mass spectrum and of lepton energy spectrum based on a sample of semileptonic decays of the b hadron selected from $Z^0 to b bar b$ events recorded with the DELPHI detector at LEP, are presented. These results are interpreted in terms of constraints on the quark masses and on the b-quark kinetic energy value.

Recent progress in application of higher order QCD calculations to jet and inclusive particle production in photon induced collisions is reviewed. Attention is paid to theoretical uncertainties of such calculations, particularly those coming from the choice of renormalization and factorization scales.
The possibility to measure diffraction dissociation in collisions of real and virtual photons at LEP2 is pointed out.
The ATLAS experiment at the LHC at CERN has analyzed 2010 and 2011 data looking for electroweak production of single top quarks in the lepton+jets and di-lepton final states. The production cross section for the t-channel process is measured to be 76 +41 -21 pb using 156 pb^-1 of 2011 data. A first limit is set on the Wt associated production process using lepton+jets and di-lepton events. The 95% CL upper limit on the Wt production cross section is 158 pb using 35 pb^-1 of 2010 data.
