We present a global analysis of leptonic and semileptonic kaon decays data, including all recent results by BNL-E865, KLOE, KTeV, ISTRA+, and NA48. Experimental results are critically reviewed and combined, taking into account theoretical (both analytical and numerical) constraints on the semileptonic kaon form factors. This analysis leads to a very accurate determination of Vus and allows us to perform several stringent tests of the Standard Model.

We present a global analysis of leptonic and semileptonic kaon decay data, including all recent results published by the BNL-E865, KLOE, KTeV, ISTRA+ and NA48 experiments. This analysis, in conjunction with precise lattice calculations of the hadronic matrix elements now available, leads to a very precise determination of |Vus| and allows us to perform several stringent tests of the Standard Model.

The branching fractions of radiative leptonic $tau$ decays $(tau to l u bar{ u} gamma$, $l=e,mu)$ were recently measured by the Babar collaboration with a relative error of about 3%. The measurement of the branching ratio $mathcal{B} (tau to e bar{ u} u gamma)$, for a minimum photon energy of 10 MeV in the $tau$ rest frame, differs from our recent SM prediction by 3.5 standard deviations, whereas our result agrees with Babars value for $mathcal{B} (tau to mu bar{ u} u gamma)$. Our predictions also agree with the measurement of $mathcal{B} (mu to e bar{ u} u gamma)$ by the MEG collaboration. We also report on a recent proposal to test the $tau$ dipole moments via precise measurements of radiative leptonic $tau$ decays at high-luminosity $B$ factories.
Inclusive semileptonic decays of beauty baryons are studied using the heavy quark expansion to ${cal O}(1/m_b^3)$, at leading order in $alpha_s$. The case of a polarized decaying baryon is examined, with reference to $Lambda_b$. An extension of the Standard Model effective Hamiltonian inducing $b to U ell {bar u}_ ell$ transitions ($U=u,,c$ and $ell=e,,mu,,tau$) is considered, which comprises the full set of D=6 semileptonic operators with left-handed neutrinos. The effects of the new operators in several observables are described.

The measurements performed at LEP and SLC have substantially improved the precision of the test of the Minimal Standard Model. The precision is such that there is sensitivity to pure weak radiative corrections. This allows to indirectly determine the top mass (mt=161$pm$8 GeV), the W-boson mass (MW=80.37$pm$0.03 GeV), and to set an upper limit on the the Higgs boson mass of 262 GeV at 95% confidence level.
The Higgs boson decay into a pair of real or virtual W bosons, with one of them decaying leptonically, is predicted within the Standard Model to have the largest branching fraction of all Higgs decays that involve an isolated electron or muon, for M_h > 120 GeV. We compute analytically the fully-differential width for this h -> l u jj decay at tree level, and then explore some multi-dimensional cuts that preserve the region of large signal. Future searches for semileptonic decays at the Tevatron and LHC, employing fully-differential information as outlined here, may be essential for ruling out or in the Higgs boson and for characterizing a Higgs signal.
