We compute the third-order correction to the S-wave quarkonium wave functions |psi_n(0)|^2 at the origin from non-Coulomb potentials in the effective non-relativistic Lagrangian. Together with previous results on the Coulomb correction and the ultrasoft correction computed in a companion paper, this completes the third-order calculation up to a few unknown matching coefficients. Numerical estimates of the new correction for bottomonium and toponium are given.

In order to include a correction by the Coulomb interaction in Bose-Einstein correlations (BEC), the wave function for the Coulomb scattering were introduced in the quantum optical approach to BEC in the previous work. If we formulate the amplitude written by Coulomb wave functions according to the diagram for BEC in the plane wave formulation, the formula for $3pi^-$BEC becomes simpler than that of our previous work. We re-analyze the raw data of $3pi^-$BEC by NA44 and STAR Collaborations by this formula. Results are compared with the previous ones.
Fragmentation is the dominant mechanism for hadron production with high transverse momentum. For spin-triplet S-wave heavy quarkonium production, contribution of gluon fragmenting to color-singlet channel has been numerically calculated since 1993. However, there is still no analytic expression available up to now because of its complexity. In this paper, we calculate both polarization-summed and polarized fragmentation functions of gluon fragmenting to a heavy quark-antiquark pair with quantum number $^3S_1^{[1]}$. Our calculations are performed in two different frameworks. One is the widely used nonrelativistic QCD factorization, and the other is the newly proposed soft gluon factorization. In either case, we calculate at both leading order and next-to-leading order in velocity expansion. All of our final results are presented in terms of compact analytic expressions.
We build a holographic $s$-wave conductor/superconductor model and an insulator/superconductor model in the four-dimensional conformal anomaly corrected~(CAC) AdS gravity. The effects of CAC parameter $alpha$ are studied using both numerical and analytical methods in the probe approximation. Concretely, when the CAC parameter increases, the critical temperature increases for the conductor/superconductor phase transition, while the critical chemical potential decreases for the insulator/superconductor case, which suggests that the increasing CAC parameter enhances both superconducting phase transitions. Meanwhile, below the critical temperature or beyond the critical chemical potential, the scalar hair begins to condense, and the condensed phases are found to be thermodynamically stable. The critical behaviors obtained from numerics are confirmed by our analytical analysis. For the parameters we are considering, the energy gap in the conductor/superconductor model decreases monotonically by increasing the CAC parameter, while for the insulator/superconductor model the energy of quasiparticle excitations decreases with the CAC parameter.
The hadronic production of $D$-wave states of $bar b c$ is studied. The relative yield of such states is estimated for kinematic conditions of LHC experiments.
We present the first calculation at next-to-leading order (NLO) in $alpha_s$ of a fragmentation function into quarkonium whose form at leading order is a nontrivial function of $z$, namely the fragmentation function for a gluon into a spin-singlet S-wave state at leading order in the relative velocity. To calculate the real NLO corrections, we introduce a new subtraction scheme that allows the phase-space integrals to be evaluated in 4 dimensions. We extract all ultraviolet and infrared divergences in the real NLO corrections analytically by calculating the phase-space integrals of the subtraction terms in $4-2epsilon$ dimensions. We also extract the divergences in the virtual NLO corrections analytically, and detail the cancellation of all divergences after renormalization. The NLO corrections have a dramatic effect on the shape of the fragmentation function, and they significantly increase the fragmentation probability.
