We have obtained CCD BVI imaging of the old open clusters Berkeley 32 and King 11. Using the synthetic colour-magnitude diagram method with three different sets of stellar evolution models of various metallicities, with and without overshooting, we have determined their age, distance, reddening, and indicative metallicity, as well as distance from the Galactic centre and height from the Galactic plane. The best parameters derived for Berkeley 32 are: subsolar metallicity (Z=0.008 represents the best choice, Z=0.006 or 0.01 are more marginally acceptable), age = 5.0-5.5 Gyr (models with overshooting; without overshooting the age is 4.2-4.4 Gyr with poorer agreement), (m-M)_0=12.4-12.6, E(B-V)=0.12-0.18 (with the lower value being more probable because it corresponds to the best metallicity), Rgc ~ 10.7-11 kpc, and |Z| ~ 231-254 pc. The best parameters for King 11 are: Z=0.01, age=3.5-4.75 Gyr, (m-M)_0=11.67-11.75, E(B-V)=1.03-1.06, Rgc ~ 9.2-10 kpc, and |Z| ~ 253-387 pc.

We have obtained medium-low resolution spectroscopy and BVI CCD imaging of Berkeley 32, an old open cluster which lies in the anticentre direction. From the radial velocities of 48 stars in the cluster direction we found that 31 of them, in crucial evolutionary phases, are probable cluster members, with an average radial velocity of +106.7 (sigma = 8.5) km/s. From isochrone fitting to the colour magnitude diagrams of Berkeley 32 we have obtained an age of 6.3 Gyr, (m-M)0 = 12.48 and E(B-V) = 0.10. The best fit is obtained with Z=0.008. A consistent distance, (m-M)0 ~= 12.6 +/- 0.1, has been derived from the mean magnitude of red clump stars with confirmed membership; we may assume (m-M)0 ~= 12.55 +/- 0.1. The colour magnitude diagram of the nearby field observed to check for field stars contamination looks intriguingly similar to that of the Canis Major overdensity.

CCD BVI photometry of the faint open clusters Berkeley~73, Berkeley~75 and Berkeley~25 are presented. The two latter are previously unstudied clusters to our knowledge. While Berkeley~73 is found to be of intermediate-age (about 1.5 Gyr old), Berkeley~75 and Berkeley~25 are two old clusters, with ages larger than 3.0 Gyr. We provide also estimates of the clusters size. Very interestingly, all these clusters turn out to lie far away from the Galactic Center, at $R_{GC} geq$ 16 kpc, and quite high onto the Galactic plane, at $|Z_{odot}| geq 1.5$ kpc. They are therefore important targets to probe the properties of the structure of the Galaxy in this direction, where the Canis Major over-density has been recently discovered to be located.
To study the crucial range of Galactocentric distances between 12 and 16 kpc, where little information is available, we have obtained VI CCD imaging of Berkeley 20 and BVI CCD imaging of Berkeley 66 and Tombaugh 2, three distant, old open clusters. Using the synthetic colour magnitude diagram (CMD) technique with three types of evolutionary tracks of different metallicities, we have determined age, distance, reddening and indicative metallicity of these systems. The CMD of Be 20 is best reproduced by stellar models with a metallicity about half of solar (Z=0.008 or 0.01), in perfect agreement with high resolution spectroscopic estimates. Its age is between 5 and 6 Gyr from stellar models with overshooting and between 4.3 and 4.5 Gyr from models without it. The distance modulus from the best fitting models is always (m-M)0=14.7 (corresponding to a Galactocentric radius of about 16 kpc), and the reddening E(B-V) ranges between 0.13 and 0.16. A slightly lower metallicity (Z ~ 0.006) appears to be more appropriate for Be 66. This cluster is younger, (age of 3 Gyr), and closer, (m-M)0=13.3 (i.e., at 12 kpc from the Galactic centre), than Be 20, and suffers from high extinction, 1.2 < E(B-V) < 1.3, variable at the 2-3 per cent level. Finally, the results for To 2 indicate that it is an intermediate age cluster, with an age of about 1.4 Gyr or 1.6-1.8 Gyr for models without and with overshooting, respectively. The metallicity is about half of solar (Z=0.006 to 0.01), in agreement with spectroscopic determinations. The distance modulus is (m-M)0=14.5, implying a distance of about 14 kpc from the Galactic centre; the reddening E(B-V) is 0.31-0.4, depending on the model and metallicity, with a preferred value around 0.34.
This paper presents an investigation of an old age open cluster King 11 using Gaias Early Data Release 3 (EDR3) data. Considering the stars with membership probability ($P_{mu}$) $> 90%$, we identified 676 most probable cluster members within the clusters limiting radius. The mean proper motion (PM) for King 11 is determined as: $mu_{x}=-3.391pm0.006$ and $mu_{y}=-0.660pm0.004$ mas yr$^{-1}$. The blue straggler stars (BSS) of King 11 show a centrally concentrated radial distribution. The values of limiting radius, age, and distance are determined as 18.51 arcmin, 3.63$pm$0.42 Gyr and $3.33pm0.15$ kpc, respectively. The clusters apex coordinates ($A=267.84^{circ} pm 1.01^{circ}$, $D=-27.48^{circ} pm 1.03^{circ}$) are determined using the apex diagram (AD) method and verified using the ($mu_U$,$mu_T$) diagram. We also obtained the orbit that the cluster follows in the Galaxy and estimated its tentative birthplace in the disk. The resulting spatial velocity of King 11 is 60.2 $pm$ 2.16 km s$^{-1}$. A significant oscillation along the $Z$-coordinate up to 0.556$pm$0.022~kpc is determined.

Context. Open clusters are ideal test particles to study the chemical evolution of the Galactic disc. However the existing high-resolution abundance determinations, not only of [Fe/H], but also of other key elements, is largely insufficient at the moment. Aims. To increase the number of Galactic open clusters with high quality abundance determinations, and to gather all the literature determinations published so far. Methods. Using high-resolution (R~30000), high-quality (S/N$>60 per pixel), we obtained spectra for twelve stars in four open clusters with the fiber spectrograph FOCES, at the 2.2 Calar Alto Telescope in Spain. We use the classical equivalent widths analysis to obtain accurate abundances of sixteen elements: Al, Ba, Ca, Co, Cr, Fe, La, Mg, Na, Nd, Ni, Sc, Si, Ti, V, Y. Oxygen abundances have been derived through spectral synthesis of the 6300 A forbidden line. Results. We provide the first determination of abundance ratios other than Fe for NGC 752 giants, and ratios in agreement with the literature for the Hyades, Praesepe and Be 32. We use a compilation of literature data to study Galactic trends of [Fe/H] and [alpha/Fe] with Galactocentric radius, age, and height above the Galactic plane. We find no significant trends, but some indication for a flattening of [Fe/H] at large Rgc, and for younger ages in the inner disc. We also found a possible decrease of [Fe/H] with |z| in the outer disc, and a weak increase of [alpha/Fe] with Rgc.
