The clock paradox is analyzed for the case when the onward and return trips cover the same <<distance>> (as observed by the traveling twin) but at unequal velocities. In this case the stationary twin observes the distances covered by her sister during the onward and return trips to be different. The analysis is presented using formulations of special relativity and the only requirement for consistency is that all observations are made from any one chosen inertial frame. The analysis suggests that a defining feature of an inertial frame should be based on the continued maintenance of the distinctive synchronicity of the clocks co-moving with it. In this work, we describe the process of teleportation between Alice in an inertial frame, and Rob who is in uniform acceleration with respect to Alice. The fidelity of the teleportation is reduced due to Davies-Unruh radiation in Robs frame. In so f ar as teleportation is a measure of entanglement, our results suggest that quantum entanglement is degraded in non-inertial frames. We discuss this reduction in fidelity for both bosonic and fermionic resources.

A formulation of the one-way speed of light in three-dimensional Euclidean space is derived by a constructive approach. This formulation is consistent with the result of the Michelson-Morley experiment in that the harmonic mean of the outward and ret urn speeds is equal to c, the standard value for the speed of electromagnetic radiation in vacuum. It is also shown that a shift in synchronization, proportional to the distance along the line of motion, renders this speed a constant along all directions.
In this paper we aim to investigate a deformed relativistic dynamics well-known as Symmetrical Special Relativity (SSR) related to a cosmic background field that plays the role of a variable vacuum energy density associated to the temperature of the expanding universe with a cosmic inflation in its early time and an accelerated expansion for its very far future time. In this scenario, we show that the speed of light and an invariant minimum speed present an explicit dependence on the background temperature of the expanding universe. Although finding the speed of light in the early universe with very high temperature and also in the very old one with very low temperature, being respectively much larger and much smaller than its current value, our approach does not violate the postulate of Special Relativity (SR), which claims the speed of light is invariant in a kinematics point of view. Moreover, it is shown that the high value of the speed of light in the early universe was drastically decreased and increased respectively before the beginning of the inflationary period. So we are led to conclude that the theory of Varying Speed of Light (VSL) should be questioned as a possible solution of the horizon problem for the hot universe.

A new causal paradox in superluminal signaling is presented. In contrast to the Tolman paradox with tachyon exchange between two parties, the new paradox appears already in a one-way superluminal signaling, even without creating the time loop. This p roduces a universal ban on superluminal signals, which is stronger than the ban imposed by the Tolman paradox. The analysis also shows that records of evolution of a superluminal object observed from two different reference frames may be time-reversed with respect to each other. Interactions with such objects could add some new features to spectroscopy. Even though relativity embraces superluminal motions, thus making the world symmetric with respect to the invariant speed barrier, their ineptness for signaling makes the symmetry incomplete. Key words: superluminal signaling, tachyons, the Tolman paradox
The twin paradox, which evokes from the the idea that two twins may age differently because of their relative motion, has been studied and explained ever since it was first described in 1906, the year after special relativity was invented. The questi on can be asked: Is there anything more to say? It seems evident that acceleration has a role to play, however this role has largely been brushed aside since it is not required in calculating, in a preferred reference frame, the relative age difference of the twins. Indeed, if one tries to calculate the age difference from the point of the view of the twin that undergoes the acceleration, then the role of the acceleration is crucial and cannot be dismissed. In the resolution of the twin paradox, the role of the acceleration has been denigrated to the extent that it has been treated as a red-herring. This is a mistake and shows a clear misunderstanding of the twin paradox.
