We compute the tunneling density of states of doped multi-wall nanotubes including disorder and electron-electron interactions. A non-conventional Coulomb blockade reflecting nonperturbative Altshuler-Aronov-Lee power-law zero-bias anomalies is found, in accordance with recent experimental results. The presence of a boundary implies a universal doubling of the boundary exponent in the diffusive limit.
Undoped GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures have been used to fabricate quantum wires in which the average impurity separation is greater than the device size. We compare the behavior of the Zero-Bias Anomaly against predictions from Kondo and spin polariza
Transport in suspended metallic single wall carbon nanotubes in the presence of strong electron-electron interaction is investigated. We consider a tube of finite length and discuss the effects of the coupling of the electrons to the deformation pote
Microwave impedance measurements indicate a non-linear absorption anomaly in single wall carbon nanotubes at low temperatures (below $20$ K). We investigate the nature of the anomaly using a time resolved microwave impedance measurement technique. It
We report the observation of the intrinsic magnetic susceptibility of highly purified SWCNT samples prepared by a combination of acid treatment and density gradient ultracentrifugation (DGU). We observed that the diamagnetic susceptibility of SWCNTs
The Kondo effect is the many-body screening of a local spin by a cloud of electrons at very low temperature. It has been proposed as an explanation of the zero-bias anomaly in quantum point contacts where interactions drive a spontaneous charge local
