Thanks to the 2dF spectrograph on the Anglo-Australian Telescope, we have recently completed the first stage of a complete spectroscopic survey more than one order of magnitude larger than any previous study, measuring 7000 spectra in a 6 sq.deg. area as part of our study of the Fornax Cluster. In this article we describe the public release of 3600 spectra from our first field. We hope that this public release will encourage colleagues making surveys for rare objects to choose these fields, as much of the follow-up spectroscopy that might be required is available from our data.
This paper describes the observations and the first data release (DR1) of the ESO public spectroscopic survey VANDELS, a deep VIMOS survey of the CANDELS CDFS and UDS fields. VANDELS main targets are star-forming galaxies at 2.4<z<5.5 and massive pas
VANDELS is an ESO Public Spectroscopic Survey designed to build a sample of high signal to noise, medium resolution spectra of galaxies at redshift between 1 and 6.5. Here we present the final Public Data Release of the VANDELS Survey, comprising 208
We present the first data release of the Fornax Deep Survey (FDS), an imaging survey using using the wide-field imager OmegaCAM mounted on the VST in the SDSS u, g, r, and i-bands covering the Fornax Galaxy Cluster and the infalling Fornax A Group. F
The 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS) has obtained spectra for 245591 sources, mainly galaxies, brighter than a nominal extinction-corrected magnitude limit of b_J=19.45. Reliable redshifts were measured for 221414 galaxies. The galaxies are select
The Public European Southern Observatory Spectroscopic Survey of Transient Objects (PESSTO) began as a public spectroscopic survey in April 2012. We describe the data reduction strategy and data products which are publicly available through the ESO a
