We study solutions of the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz equations for relativistic theories defined by the factorizable $S$-matrix of an integrable QFT deformed by CDD factors. Such $S$-matrices appear under generalized TTbar deformations of integrable QFT by special irrelevant operators. The TBA equations, of course, determine the ground state energy $E(R)$ of the finite-size system, with the spatial coordinate compactified on a circle of circumference $R$. We limit attention to theories involving just one kind of stable particles, and consider deformations of the trivial (free fermion or boson) $S$-matrix by CDD factors with two elementary poles and regular high energy asymptotics -- the 2CDD model. We find that for all values of the parameters (positions of the CDD poles) the TBA equations exhibit two real solutions at $R$ greater than a certain parameter-dependent value $R_*$, which we refer to as the primary and secondary branches. The primary branch is identified with the standard iterative solution, while the secondary one is unstable against iterations and needs to be accessed through an alternative numerical method known as pseudo-arc-length continuation. The two branches merge at the turning point $R_*$ (a square-root branching point). The singularity signals a Hagedorn behavior of the density of high energy states of the deformed theories, a feature incompatible with the Wilsonian notion of a local QFT originating from a UV fixed point, but typical for string theories. This behavior of $E(R)$ is qualitatively the same as the one for standard TTbar deformations of local QFT.

This work concerns the quantum Lorentzian and Euclidean black hole non-linear sigma models. For the Euclidean black hole sigma model an equilibrium density matrix is proposed, which reproduces the modular invariant partition function from the 2001 pa per of Maldacena, Ooguri and Son. For the Lorentzian black hole sigma model, using its formulation as a gauged ${rm SL}(2,mathbb{R})$ WZW model, we describe the linear and Hermitian structure of its space of states and also propose an expression for the equilibrium density matrix. Our analysis is guided by the results of the study of a certain critical, integrable spin chain. In the scaling limit, the latter exhibits the key features of the Lorentzian black hole sigma model including the same global symmetries, the same algebra of extended conformal symmetry and a continuous spectrum of conformal dimensions.
An integrable system is introduced, which is a generalization of the $mathfrak{sl}(2)$ quantum affine Gaudin model. Among other things, the Hamiltonians are constructed and their spectrum is calculated within the ODE/IQFT approach. The model fits wit hin the framework of Yang-Baxter integrability. This opens a way for the systematic quantization of a large class of integrable non-linear sigma models. There may also be some interest in terms of Condensed Matter applications, as the theory can be thought of as a multiparametric generalization of the Kondo model.
We argue that the late time behavior of horizon fluctuations in large anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes is governed by the random matrix dynamics characteristic of quantum chaotic systems. Our main tool is the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK) model, which we u se as a simple model of a black hole. We use an analytically continued partition function $|Z(beta +it)|^2$ as well as correlation functions as diagnostics. Using numerical techniques we establish random matrix behavior at late times. We determine the early time behavior exactly in a double scaling limit, giving us a plausible estimate for the crossover time to random matrix behavior. We use these ideas to formulate a conjecture about general large AdS black holes, like those dual to 4D super-Yang-Mills theory, giving a provisional estimate of the crossover time. We make some preliminary comments about challenges to understanding the late time dynamics from a bulk point of view.

We study the behaviour of the inverse participation ratio and the localization transition in infinitely large random matrices through the cavity method. Results are shown for two ensembles of random matrices: Laplacian matrices on sparse random graph s and fully-connected Levy matrices. We derive a critical line separating localized from extended states in the case of Levy matrices. Comparison between theoretical results and diagonalization of finite random matrices is shown.
In this note we report the results of our study of a 1D integrable spin chain whose critical behaviour is governed by a CFT possessing a continuous spectrum of scaling dimensions. It is argued that the computation of the density of Bethe states of th e continuous theory can be reduced to the calculation of the connection coefficients for a certain class of differential equations whose monodromy properties are similar to those of the conventional confluent hypergeometric equation. The finite size corrections to the scaling are also discussed.
