The possibility that primordial black hole binary mergers of stellar mass can explain the signals detected by the gravitational-wave interferometers has attracted much attention. In this scenario, primordial black holes can comprise only part of the entire dark matter, say, of order 0.1 %. This implies that most of the dark matter is accounted for by a different component, such as Weakly Interacting Massive Particles. We point out that in this situation, very compact dark matter minihalos, composed of the dominant component of the dark matter, are likely to be formed abundantly in the early Universe, with their formation redshift and abundance depending on primordial non-Gaussianity. They may be detected in future experiments via pulsar observations.

We consider a general class of axion models, including the QCD and string axion, in which the PQ symmetry is broken before or during inflation. Assuming the axion is the dominant component of the dark matter, we discuss axion star formation in virial ized dark minihalos around primordial black holes through gravitational Bose-Einstein condensation. We determine the conditions for minihalos to kinetically produce axion stars before galaxy formation. Today, we expect up to $sim 10^{17}$ ($sim 10^9$) axion stars in a radius of 100 parsecs around the Sun for the case of the QCD (string) axion.
Primordial black hole (PBH) mergers have been proposed as an explanation for the gravitational wave events detected by the LIGO collaboration. Such PBHs may be formed in the early Universe as a result of the collapse of extremely rare high-sigma peak s of primordial fluctuations on small scales, as long as the amplitude of primordial perturbations on small scales is enhanced significantly relative to the amplitude of perturbations observed on large scales. One consequence of these small-scale perturbations is generation of stochastic gravitational waves that arise at second order in scalar perturbations, mostly before the formation of the PBHs. These induced gravitational waves have been shown, assuming gaussian initial conditions, to be comparable to the current limits from the European Pulsar Timing Array, severely restricting this scenario. We show, however, that models with enhanced fluctuation amplitudes typically involve non-gaussian initial conditions. With such initial conditions, the current limits from pulsar timing can be evaded. The amplitude of the induced gravitational-wave background can be larger or smaller than the stochastic gravitational-wave background from supermassive black hole binaries.
Evidences for the primordial black holes (PBH) presence in the early Universe renew permanently. New limits on their mass spectrum challenge existing models of PBH formation. One of the known model is based on the closed walls collapse after the infl ationary epoch. Its intrinsic feature is multiple production of small mass PBH which might contradict observations in the nearest future. We show that the mechanism of walls collapse can be applied to produce substantially different PBH mass spectra if one takes into account the classical motion of scalar fields together with their quantum fluctuations at the inflationary stage.
Ultracompact minihalos~(UCMHs) can form after the epoch of matter-radiation equality, if the density fluctuations of dark matter have significantly large amplitude on small scales. The constraint on the UCMH abundance allows us to access such small-s cale fluctuations. In this paper, we present that, through the measurement of 21-cm fluctuations before the epoch of reionization~ we can obtain a constraint on the UCMH abundance. We calculate the 21-cm signal from UCMHs and show that UCMHs provide the enhancement of the 21-cm fluctuations. We also investigate the constraint on the UCMH abundance and small-scale curvature perturbations. Our results indicate that the upcoming 21-cm observation, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), provides the constraint on amplitude of primordial curvature power spectrum, ${cal A}_{zeta} lesssim 10^{-6}$ on $100~{rm Mpc}^{-1} lesssim k lesssim 1000~{rm Mpc}^{-1}$. Although it is not stronger than the one from the non-detection of gamma rays induced by dark matter annihilation in UCMHs, the constraint by the SKA will be important because this constraint is independent of the dark matter particle model.

The dark matter enclosed in a density perturbation with a large initial amplitude (delta-rho/rho > 1e-3) collapses shortly after recombination and forms an ultracompact minihalo (UCMH). Their high central densities make UCMHs especially suitable for detection via astrometric microlensing: as the UCMH moves, it changes the apparent position of background stars. A UCMH with a mass larger than a few solar masses can produce a distinctive astrometric microlensing signal that is detectable by the space astrometry mission Gaia. If Gaia does not detect gravitational lensing by any UCMHs, then it establishes an upper limit on their abundance and constrains the amplitude of the primordial power spectrum for k~2700 Mpc^{-1}. These constraints complement the upper bound on the amplitude of the primordial power spectrum derived from limits on gamma-ray emission from UCMHs because the astrometric microlensing signal produced by an UCMH is maximized if the dark-matter annihilation rate is too low to affect the UCMHs density profile. If dark matter annihilation within UCMHs is not detectable, a search for UCMHs by Gaia could constrain the amplitude of the primordial power spectrum to be less than 1e-5; this bound is three orders of magnitude stronger than the bound derived from the absence of primordial black holes.
