We have studied electromagnetic line emissions from near-horizon region in the extremal Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole spacetime and then probe the effects of NUT charge on the electromagnetic line emissions. Due to the presence of the NUT charge, the equatorial plane is no more a symmetry plane of the KTN spacetime, which leads to that the dependence of electromagnetic line emission on the NUT charge for the observer in the Southern Hemisphere differs from that in the Northern one. Our result indicate that the electromagnetic line emission in the Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole case is brighter than that in the case of Kerr black hole for the observer in the equatorial plane or in the Southern Hemisphere, but it becomes more faint as the observers position deviates far from the equatorial plane in the Northern one. Moreover, we also probe effects of redshift factor on electromagnetic emission from near-horizon region in the extremal Kerr-Taub-NUT black hole spacetime.

We study force-free magnetospheres in the Blandford-Znajek process from rapidly rotating black holes by adopting the near-horizon geometry of near-extreme Kerr black holes (near-NHEK). It is shown that the Znajek regularity condition on the horizon c an be directly derived from the resulting stream equation. In terms of the condition, we split the full stream equation into two separate equations. Approximate solutions around the rotation axis are derived. They are found to be consistent with previous solutions obtained in the asymptotic region. The solutions indicate energy and angular-momentum extraction from the hole.
According to General Relativity, there are three factors namely mass, rotation and charge that can influence the path of light ray. Many authors showed that there is another factor which can influence the path of light ray namely gravitomagnetism. He re we discuss the effect of a rotating body with non-zero (Kerr- Taub-NUT) magnetic field on the motion of light ray. We use the null geodesic of photon method and obtain the deflection angle of light ray for such a body up to fourth order term in the equatorial plane. Our calculation shows that magnetism has a noticeable effect on the path of light ray. If we set the magnetism equal to zero, our expression of bending angle reduces to the Kerr bending angle. However, we get non-zero bending angle for a hypothetical mass less, magnetic body.
An atom falling freely into a Kerr black hole in a Boulware-like vacuum is shown to emit radiation with a Planck spectrum at the Hawking temperature. For a cloud of falling atoms with random initial times, the radiation is thermal. The existence of t his radiation is due to the acceleration of the vacuum field modes with respect to the falling atom. Its properties can be traced to the dominant role of conformal quantum mechanics (CQM) in the neighborhood of the event horizon. We display this effect for a scalar field, though the acceleration radiation has a universal conformal behavior that is exhibited by all fields in the background of generic black holes.

In a recent paper (Beyer and Hennig, 2012 [9]), we have introduced a class of inhomogeneous cosmological models: the smooth Gowdy-symmetric generalized Taub-NUT solutions. Here we derive a three-parametric family of exact solutions within this class, which contains the two-parametric Taub solution as a special case. We also study properties of this solution. In particular, we show that for a special choice of the parameters, the spacetime contains a curvature singularity with directional behaviour that can be interpreted as a true spike in analogy to previously known Gowdy symmetric solutions with spatial T3-topology. For other parameter choices, the maximal globally hyperbolic region is singularity-free, but may contain false spikes.

For the Schwarzschild black hole the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy is proportional to the area of the event horizon. For the black holes with two horizons the thermodynamics is not very clear, since the role of the inner horizons is not well established . Here we calculate the entropy of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole and of the Kerr black hole, which have two horizons. For the spherically symmetric Reissner-Nordstrom black hole we used several different approaches. All of them give the same result for the entropy and for the corresponding temperature of the thermal Hawking radiation. The entropy is not determined by the area of the outer horizon, and it is not equal to the sum of the entropies of two horizons. It is determined by the correlations between the two horizons, due to which the total entropy of the black hole and the temperature of Hawking radiation depend only on mass $M$ of the black hole and do not depend on the black hole charge $Q$. For the Kerr and Kerr-Newman black holes it is shown that their entropy has the similar property: it depends only on mass $M$ of the black hole and does not depend on the angular momentum $J$ and charge $Q$.
