Recent progress in lattice calculations of properties of open-charm mesons, both regular and exotic, is reviewed, with an emphasis on spectroscopy. After reviewing recent calculations of excited state energy levels I will discuss progress in extracting hadronic masses and widths of charmed states from Lattice QCD simulations including low-lying scattering channels directly, to determine phase shift data and bound state/ resonance properties. With regard to other properties results from recent calculations of the $DD^*pi$ and $DDrho$, $D^*D^*rho$ couplings are presented. Beyond regular mesons, searches for explicitly exotic (tetraquark) states are also reviewed.
Over the past $sim!! 10$ years, the topic of the nucleons nonperturbative or $textit{intrinsic}$ charm (IC) content has enjoyed something of a renaissance, largely motivated by theoretical developments involving quark modelers and PDF fitters. In thi
We investigate mesons containing charm quarks on fine lattices with a^{-1} sim 5 GeV. The quenched approximation is employed using the Wilson gauge action at beta = 6.6 and nonperturbatively O(a) improved Wilson quarks. We present results for decay c
Lattice QCD has matured to a degree where it is now possible to study excited hadrons as they truly appear in nature, as short-lived resonant enhancements decaying into multiple possible final states. Through variational analysis of matrices of corre
We calculate spatial correlation functions of in-medium mesons consisting of strange--anti-strange, strange--anti-charm and charm--anti-charm quarks in (2+1)-flavor lattice QCD using the highly improved staggered quark action. A comparative study of
Lattice calculations of the form factors for the charm semileptonic decays D to K l nu and D to pi l nu provide inputs to direct determinations of the CKM matrix elements |V(cs)| and |V(cd)| and can be designed to validate calculations of the form fa
