We first show that the subgroup of the abelian real group $mathbb{R}$ generated by the coordinates of a point in $x = (x_1,dots,x_n)inmathbb{R}^n$ completely classifies the $mathsf{GL}(n,mathbb Z)$-orbit of $x$. This yields a short proof of J.S.Danis theorem: the $mathsf{GL}(n,mathbb Z)$-orbit of $xinmathbb{R}^n$ is dense iff $x_i/x_jin mathbb{R} setminus mathbb Q$ for some $i,j=1,dots,n$. We then classify $mathsf{GL}(n,mathbb Z)$-orbits of rational affine subspaces $F$ of $mathbb{R}^n$. We prove that the dimension of $F$ together with the volume of a special parallelotope associated to $F$ yields a complete classifier of the $mathsf{GL}(n,mathbb Z)$-orbit of $F$.

We confirm a conjecture of Jens Marklof regarding the equidistribution of certain sparse collections of points on expanding horospheres. These collections are obtained by intersecting the expanded horosphere with a certain manifold of complementary d imension and turns out to be of arithmetic nature. This equidistribution result is then used along the lines suggested by Marklof to give an analogue of a result of W. Schmidt regarding the distribution of shapes of lattices orthogonal to integer vectors.
A subspace of $mathbb{F}_2^n$ is called cyclically covering if every vector in $mathbb{F}_2^n$ has a cyclic shift which is inside the subspace. Let $h_2(n)$ denote the largest possible codimension of a cyclically covering subspace of $mathbb{F}_2^n$. We show that $h_2(p)= 2$ for every prime $p$ such that 2 is a primitive root modulo $p$, which, assuming Artins conjecture, answers a question of Peter Cameron from 1991. We also prove various bounds on $h_2(ab)$ depending on $h_2(a)$ and $h_2(b)$ and extend some of our results to a more general set-up proposed by Cameron, Ellis and Raynaud.
Our recent work established existence and uniqueness results for $mathcal{C}^{k,alpha}_{text{loc}}$ globally defined linearizing semiconjugacies for $mathcal{C}^1$ flows having a globally attracting hyperbolic fixed point or periodic orbit (Kvalheim and Revzen, 2019). Applications include (i) improvements, such as uniqueness statements, for the Sternberg linearization and Floquet normal form theorems; (ii) results concerning the existence, uniqueness, classification, and convergence of various quantities appearing in the applied Koopmanism literature, such as principal eigenfunctions, isostables, and Laplace averages. In this work we give an exposition of some of these results, with an emphasis on the Koopmanism applications, and consider their broadness of applicability. In particular we show that, for almost all $mathcal{C}^infty$ flows having a globally attracting hyperbolic fixed point or periodic orbit, the $mathcal{C}^infty$ Koopman eigenfunctions can be completely classified, generalizing a result known for analytic systems. For such systems, every $mathcal{C}^infty$ eigenfunction is uniquely determined by its eigenvalue modulo scalar multiplication.
We introduce a computationally tractable way to describe the $mathbb Z$-homotopy fixed points of a $C_{n}$-spectrum $E$, producing a genuine $C_{n}$ spectrum $E^{hnmathbb Z}$ whose fixed and homotopy fixed points agree and are the $mathbb Z$-homotopy fixed points of $E$. These form a piece of a contravariant functor from the divisor poset of $n$ to genuine $C_{n}$-spectra, and when $E$ is an $N_{infty}$-ring spectrum, this functor lifts to a functor of $N_{infty}$-ring spectra. For spectra like the Real Johnson--Wilson theories or the norms of Real bordism, the slice spectral sequence provides a way to easily compute the $RO(G)$-graded homotopy groups of the spectrum $E^{hnmathbb Z}$, giving the homotopy groups of the $mathbb Z$-homotopy fixed points. For the more general spectra in the contravariant functor, the slice spectral sequences interpolate between the one for the norm of Real bordism and the especially simple $mathbb Z$-homotopy fixed point case, giving us a family of new tools to simplify slice computations.
We examine iteration of certain skew-products on the bidisk whose components are rational inner functions, with emphasis on simple maps of the form $Phi(z_1,z_2) = (phi(z_1,z_2), z_2)$. If $phi$ has degree $1$ in the first variable, the dynamics on e ach horizontal fiber can be described in terms of Mobius transformations but the global dynamics on the $2$-torus exhibit some complexity, encoded in terms of certain $mathbb{T}^2$-symmetric polynomials. We describe the dynamical behavior of such mappings $Phi$ and give criteria for different configurations of fixed point curves and rotation belts in terms of zeros of a related one-variable polynomial.
