Measurements are presented of the $CP$ violation observables $S$ and $C$ in the decays of $B^0$ and $overline{B}{}^0$ mesons to the $J/psi K^0_S$ final state. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $3.0,text{fb}^{-1}$ collected with the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8,text{TeV}$. The analysis of the time evolution of $41500$ $B^0$ and $overline{B}{}^0$ decays yields $S = 0.731 pm 0.035 , text{(stat)} pm 0.020 ,text{(syst)}$ and $C = -0.038 pm 0.032 , text{(stat)} pm 0.005,text{(syst)}$. In the Standard Model, $S$ equals $sin(2beta)$ to a good level of precision. The values are consistent with the current world averages and with the Standard Model expectations.

The time-dependent $CP$ asymmetry in $B_s^0 to J/psi K^+K^-$ decays is measured using $pp$ collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $3.0$fb$^{-1}$, collected with the LHCb detector at centre-of-mass energies of $7$ and $8$TeV. In a sample of 96 000 $B_s^0 to J/psi K^+K^-$ decays, the $CP$-violating phase $phi_s$ is measured, as well as the decay widths $Gamma_{L}$ and $Gamma_{H}$ of the light and heavy mass eigenstates of the $B_s^0-bar{B}_s^0$ system. The values obtained are $phi_s = -0.058 pm 0.049 pm 0.006$ rad, $Gamma_s equiv (Gamma_{L}+Gamma_{H})/2 = 0.6603 pm 0.0027 pm 0.0015$ps$^{-1}$, and$DeltaGamma_s equiv Gamma_{L} - Gamma_{H} = 0.0805 pm 0.0091 pm 0.0032$ps$^{-1}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. These are the most precise single measurements of those quantities to date. A combined analysis with $B_s^{0} to J/psi pi^+pi^-$ decays gives $phi_s = -0.010 pm 0.039 $rad. All measurements are in agreement with the Standard Model predictions. For the first time the phase $phi_s$ is measured independently for each polarisation state of the $K^+K^- $ system and shows no evidence for polarisation dependence.
We report a measurement of time-dependent $CP$ violation in $B^0 to K^0_S pi^0 pi^0$ decays using a data sample of $772 times 10^6$ $Bbar{B}$ pairs collected by the Belle experiment runnin g at the $Upsilon (4S)$ resonance at the KEKB $e^+ e^-$ colli der. This decay proceeds mainly via a $bto sdbar{d}$ penguin amplitude. The results are $sin 2phi^{rm eff}_1 = 0.92^{+0.27}_{-0.31}~$ (stat.) $pm 0.11$ (syst.) and $mathcal{A} = 0.28 pm 0.21$ (stat.) $pm 0.04$ (syst.), which are the most precise measurements of $CP$ violati on in this decay mode to date. The value for the $CP$-violating parameter $sin 2phi^{rm eff}_1$ is consistent with that obtained using decay modes proceeding via a $bto cbar{c}s$ tree amplitude.
A measurement of the time-integrated $CP$ asymmetry in $D^0rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S$ decays is reported. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of about $2$ fb$^{-1}$ collected in 2015-2016 by the LHCb collaboration in $pp$ collisions at a cen tre-of-mass energy of $13$ TeV. The $D^0$ candidate is required to originate from a $D^{ast +} rightarrow D^0 pi^+$ decay, allowing the determination of the flavour of the $D^0$ meson using the pion charge. The $D^0 rightarrow K^{+}K^{-}$ decay, which has a well measured $CP$ asymmetry, is used as a calibration channel. The $CP$ asymmetry for $D^0rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S$ is measured to be begin{equation*} mathcal{A}^{CP}(D^0rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S) = (4.3pm 3.4pm 1.0)%, end{equation*} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This result is combined with the previous LHCb measurement at lower centre-of-mass energies to obtain begin{equation*} mathcal{A}^{CP}(D^0rightarrow K^0_S K^0_S) = (2.3pm 2.8pm 0.9)%. end{equation*}
The $CP$ violation observables $S$ and $C$ in the decay channel $B^0 !rightarrow D^+ D^-$ are determined from a sample of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and 8 TeV, collected by the LHCb experiment and corresponding to an int egrated luminosity of 3 fb$^{-1}$. The observable $S$ describes $CP$ violation in the interference between mixing and the decay amplitude, and $C$ parametrizes direct $CP$ violation in the decay. The following values are obtained from a flavor-tagged, decay-time-dependent analysis: begin{align*} S &= -0.54 , ^{+0.17}_{-0.16} , text{(stat)} pm 0.05 , text{(syst)},, ewline C &= phantom{-}0.26 , ^{+0.18}_{-0.17} , text{(stat)} pm 0.02 , text{(syst)},. end{align*} These values provide evidence for $CP$ violation at a significance level of 4.0 standard deviations. The phase shift due to higher-order Standard Model corrections is constrained to a small value of begin{align*} Deltaphi = -0.16,^{+0.19}_{-0.21},text{rad},. end{align*}
The three-body charmless hadronic decay $B^0_s rightarrow K^{0}_{rm S} pi^{+}pi^{-}$ provides a number of novel possibilities to search for CP violation effects and test the Standard Model of particle physics. These include fits to the Dalitz-plot di stributions of the decay-time-integrated final state, decay-time-dependent (but without initial state flavour tagging) fits to the Dalitz-plot distribution, as well as full decay-time-dependent and flavour tagged fits. The relative sensitivities of these different approaches are investigated.
