We present an update of the branching ratios for Higgs-boson decays in the Standard Model. We list results for all relevant branching ratios together with corresponding uncertainties resulting from input parameters and missing higher-order corrections. As sources of parametric uncertainties we include the masses of the charm, bottom, and top quarks as well as the QCD coupling constant. We compare our results with other predictions in the literature.

In models with an extended Higgs sector there exists an alignment limit, in which the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mimics the Standard Model Higgs. The alignment limit is commonly associated with the decoupling limit, where all non-standard scalars a re significantly heavier than the $Z$ boson. However, alignment can occur irrespective of the mass scale of the rest of the Higgs sector. In this work we discuss the general conditions that lead to alignment without decoupling, therefore allowing for the existence of additional non-standard Higgs bosons at the weak scale. The values of $tanbeta$ for which this happens are derived in terms of the effective Higgs quartic couplings in general two-Higgs-doublet models as well as in supersymmetric theories, including the MSSM and the NMSSM. Moreover, we study the information encoded in the variations of the SM Higgs-fermion couplings to explore regions in the $m_A - tanbeta$ parameter space.

The Higgs boson branching ratio into vector bosons is sensitive to the decay widths of those vector bosons because they are produced with at least one boson significantly off-shell. Gamma(H to V V ) is approximately proportional to the product of the Higgs boson coupling and the vector boson width. Gamma Z is well known, but Gamma W gives an uncertainty on Gamma(H to W W ) which is not negligible. The ratio of branching ratios, BR(H to W W )/BR(H to ZZ) measured by a combination of ATLAS and CMS at LHC is used herein to extract a width for the W boson of Gamma W = 1.8+0.4-0.3 GeV by assuming Standard Model couplings of the Higgs bosons. This dependence of the branching ratio on Gamma W is not discussed in most Higgs boson coupling analyses.
The discovery of the Higgs boson, with mass known to better than the percent level, enables for the first time precision Higgs boson analyses. Toward this goal, we define an expansion formalism of the Higgs boson partial widths and branching fraction s that facilitates such studies. This expansion yields the observables as a perturbative expansion around reference values of Standard Model input observables (quark masses, QCD coupling constant, etc.). We compute the coefficients of the expansion using state-of-the-art results. We also study the various sources of uncertainties in computing the partial widths and branching fractions more precisely. We discuss the impact of these results with efforts to discern new physics through precision Higgs boson studies.
We present an investigation of the dependence of searches for boosted Higgs bosons using jet substructure on the perturbative and non-perturbative parameters of the Herwig++ Monte Carlo event generator. Values are presented for a new tune of the para meters of the event generator, together with the an estimate of the uncertainties based on varying the parameters around the best-fit values.
Due to the high anticipated experimental precision at the Future Circular Collider FCC-ee (or other proposed $e^+e^-$ colliders, such as ILC, CLIC, or CEPC) for electroweak and Higgs-boson precision measurements, theoretical uncertainties may have, i f unattended, an important impact on the interpretation of these measurements within the Standard Model (SM), and thus on constraints on new physics. Current theory uncertainties, which would dominate the total uncertainty, need to be strongly reduced through future advances in the calculation of multi-loop radiative corrections together with improved experimental and theoretical control of the precision of SM input parameters. This document aims to provide an estimate of the required improvement in calculational accuracy in view of the anticipated high precision at the FCC-ee. For the most relevant electroweak and Higgs-boson precision observables we evaluate the corresponding quantitative impact.
