The CDF collaboration has set lower limits on the masses of the Z bosons occurring in a range of E_6 GUT based models. We revisit their analysis and extend it to certain other E_6 scenarios as well as to some general classes of models satisfying the anomaly cancellation conditions, which are not included in the CDF analysis. We also suggest a Bayesian statistical method for finding exclusion limits on the Z mass, which allows one to explore a wide range of the U(1) gauge coupling parameter. This method also takes into account the effects of interference between the Z and the SM gauge bosons.

The proton diffractive structure function $F_2^{D(3)}$ measured in the H1 and ZEUS experiments at HERA are analysed in terms of perturbative QCD in the perspective of the QCD extrapolation to the Tevatron and the LHC. It is shown that both data sets can be well described by a QCD analysis in which point-like parton distributions, evolving according to the next-leading DGLAP equations, are assigned to the leading and sub-leading Regge exchanges. For present data from H1 and ZEUS the gluon distributions are found to be quite different and we give the corresponding sets of quark and gluon parton distributions for the Pomeron, extracted from the two experiments. An extrapolation to the Tevatron range is compared with CDF data on single diffraction. Conclusions on factorization breaking between HERA and Tevatron critically depend on whether H1 (strong violation) or ZEUS (compatibility at low $beta$) fits are taken into account. Using the double Pomeron formulation in central diffractive dijet production we show that the Tevatron mass fraction is much sensitive to the high $beta$ tail of the gluon in the Pomeron, suggesting a new way of handling the otherwise badly known gluon distribution in the Pomeron. Extrapolation of the fits to very high $Q^2$ are given since they will be relevant for QCD and diffraction studies at the LHC.
LHC searches for non-standard Higgs bosons decaying into tau lepton pairs constitute a sensitive experimental probe for physics beyond the Standard Model (BSM), such as Supersymmetry (SUSY). Recently, the limits obtained from these searches have been presented by the CMS collaboration in a nearly model-independent fashion - as a narrow resonance model - based on the full 8 TeV dataset. In addition to publishing a 95% C.L. exclusion limit, the full likelihood information for the narrow resonance model has been released. This provides valuable information that can be incorporated into global BSM fits. We present a simple algorithm that maps an arbitrary model with multiple neutral Higgs bosons onto the narrow resonance model and derives the corresponding value for the exclusion likelihood from the CMS search. This procedure has been implemented into the public computer code HiggsBounds (version 4.2.0 and higher). We validate our implementation by cross-checking against the official CMS exclusion contours in three Higgs benchmark scenarios in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), and find very good agreement. Going beyond validation, we discuss the combined constraints of the tau tau search and the rate measurements of the SM-like Higgs at 125 GeV in a recently proposed MSSM benchmark scenario, where the lightest Higgs boson obtains SM-like couplings independently of the decoupling of the heavier Higgs states. Technical details for how to access the likelihood information within HiggsBounds are given in the appendix. The program is available at http://higgsbounds.hepforge.org.
Heavy quarkonium production in the framework of the non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics and leading order of the parton Reggeization approach at the Tevatron and LHC is discussed. In this note, we compare our predictions for the bottomonium produ ction at the LHC due to the color-singlet approximation of the non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics with CMS and LHCb data. It is found, that in the production of Upsilon(1S) states, the color-singlet mechanism is dominating, whereas to describe the data for the inclusive Upsilon(2S) and Upsilon(3S) production, the color- octet contributions should be taken into account.
The search for Higgs bosons in both the standard model and its extensions is well under way at the Tevatron. As the integrated luminosity collected increases into the multiple inverse femptobarn range, these searches are becoming very interesting ind eed. Meanwhile, the construction of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and its associated experiments at CERN are nearing completion. In this TeV4LHC workshop, it was realized that any experience at the Tevatron with respect to backgrounds, experimental techniques and theoretical calculations that can be verified at the Tevatron which have relevance for future measurements at the LHC were important. Studies and contributions to these efforts were made in three broad categories: theoretical calculations of Higgs production and decay mechanisms; theoretical calculations and discussions pertaining to non-standard model Higgs bosons; and experimental reviews, analyses and developments at both the Tevatron and the upcoming LHC experiments. All of these contributions represent real progress towards the elucidation of the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking.

In this article results from supersymmetry searches at D0 and CDF are reported. Searches for third generation squarks, searches for gauginos, and searches for models with R-parity violation are described. As no signs of supersymmetry for these models are observed, the most stringent limits to date are presented.
