In this paper an attempt has been made to identify most important human resource factors and propose a diagnostic model based on the back-propagation and connectionist model approaches of artificial neural network (ANN). The focus of the study is on the mobile -communication industry of India. The ANN based approach is particularly important because conventional approaches (such as algorithmic) to the problem solving have their inherent disadvantages. The algorithmic approach is well-suited to the problems that are well-understood and known solution(s). On the other hand the ANNs have learning by example and processing capabilities similar to that of a human brain. ANN has been followed due to its inherent advantage over conversion algorithmic like approaches and having capabilities, training and human like intuitive decision making capabilities. Therefore, this ANN based approach is likely to help researchers and organizations to reach a better solution to the problem of managing the human resource. The study is particularly important as many studies have been carried in developed countries but there is a shortage of such studies in developing nations like India. Here, a model has been derived using connectionist-ANN approach and improved and verified via back-propagation algorithm. This suggested ANN based model can be used for testing the success and failure human factors in any of the communication Industry. Results have been obtained on the basis of connectionist model, which has been further refined by BPNN to an accuracy of 99.99%. Any company to predict failure due to HR factors can directly deploy this model.

This paper presents an implementation of multilayer feed forward neural networks (NN) to optimize CMOS analog circuits. For modeling and design recently neural network computational modules have got acceptance as an unorthodox and useful tool. To ach ieve high performance of active or passive circuit component neural network can be trained accordingly. A well trained neural network can produce more accurate outcome depending on its learning capability. Neural network model can replace empirical modeling solutions limited by range and accuracy.[2] Neural network models are easy to obtain for new circuits or devices which can replace analytical methods. Numerical modeling methods can also be replaced by neural network model due to their computationally expansive behavior.[2][10][20]. The pro- posed implementation is aimed at reducing resource requirement, without much compromise on the speed. The NN ensures proper functioning by assigning the appropriate inputs, weights, biases, and excitation function of the layer that is currently being computed. The concept used is shown to be very effective in reducing resource requirements and enhancing speed.
Artificial neural networks have diverged far from their early inspiration in neurology. In spite of their technological and commercial success, they have several shortcomings, most notably the need for a large number of training examples and the resu lting computation resources required for iterative learning. Here we describe an approach to neurological network simulation, both architectural and algorithmic, that adheres more closely to established biological principles and overcomes some of the shortcomings of conventional networks.
In this paper we introduce a novel Salience Affected Artificial Neural Network (SANN) that models the way neuromodulators such as dopamine and noradrenaline affect neural dynamics in the human brain by being distributed diffusely through neocortical regions, allowing both salience signals to modulate cognition immediately, and one time learning to take place through strengthening entire patterns of activation at one go. We present a model that is capable of one-time salience tagging in a neural network trained to classify objects, and returns a salience response during classification (inference). We explore the effects of salience on learning via its effect on the activation functions of each node, as well as on the strength of weights between nodes in the network. We demonstrate that salience tagging can improve classification confidence for both the individual image as well as the class of images it belongs to. We also show that the computation impact of producing a salience response is minimal. This research serves as a proof of concept, and could be the first step towards introducing salience tagging into Deep Learning Networks and robotics.
Predicting the start-ups that will eventually succeed is essentially important for the venture capital business and worldwide policy makers, especially at an early stage such that rewards can possibly be exponential. Though various empirical studie s and data-driven modeling work have been done, the predictive power of the complex networks of stakeholders including venture capital investors, start-ups, and start-ups managing members has not been thoroughly explored. We design an incremental representation learning mechanism and a sequential learning model, utilizing the network structure together with the rich attributes of the nodes. In general, our method achieves the state-of-the-art prediction performance on a comprehensive dataset of global venture capital investments and surpasses human investors by large margins. Specifically, it excels at predicting the outcomes for start-ups in industries such as healthcare and IT. Meanwhile, we shed light on impacts on start-up success from observable factors including gender, education, and networking, which can be of value for practitioners as well as policy makers when they screen ventures of high growth potentials.

This paper describes a set of neural network architectures, called Prediction Neural Networks Set (PNNS), based on both fully-connected and convolutional neural networks, for intra image prediction. The choice of neural network for predicting a given image block depends on the block size, hence does not need to be signalled to the decoder. It is shown that, while fully-connected neural networks give good performance for small block sizes, convolutional neural networks provide better predictions in large blocks with complex textures. Thanks to the use of masks of random sizes during training, the neural networks of PNNS well adapt to the available context that may vary, depending on the position of the image block to be predicted. When integrating PNNS into a H.265 codec, PSNR-rate performance gains going from 1.46% to 5.20% are obtained. These gains are on average 0.99% larger than those of prior neural network based methods. Unlike the H.265 intra prediction modes, which are each specialized in predicting a specific texture, the proposed PNNS can model a large set of complex textures.
