The D meson production at forward rapidities in d+Au processes is calculated using a pQCD based model, assuming that this treatment could be used as a baseline for distinct dynamical and medium effects. It is analysed how the nuclear effects in the nuclear partonic distributions may affect this process at RHIC and LHC energies. An enhancement in the moderate $q_T$ region for RHIC, due to anti-shadowing in the nuclear medium, is found. Our prediction for LHC suggests that shadowing will suppress the D meson spectra for $q_T<14$ GeV.
Within the framework of $k_t$-factorization, we compute the differential cross section for the production of $B$ and $D$ mesons, using a general-mass variable-flavor-number scheme. Our calculations include all relevant $2to 2$ processes. We explain h
The production of D* and D mesons in inelastic scattering of 160 GeV/c muons off a ^6LiD target has been investigated with the COMPASS spectrometer at CERN for 0.003 (GeV/c)^2 < Q^2 < 10 (GeV/c)^2 and 3x10^-5< x_Bj < 0.1. The study is based on 8100 e
The PHENIX experiment has measured $phi$ meson production in $d$$+$Au collisions at $sqrt{s_{_{NN}}}=200$ GeV using the dimuon and dielectron decay channels. The $phi$ meson is measured in the forward (backward) $d$-going (Au-going) direction, $1.2<y
We have investigated the process of $Lambda_bto Lambda Dbar{D}$, by taking into account the contributions from the $s$-wave $Dbar{D}$ interaction within the coupled-channel unitary approach, and the intermediate $psi(3770)$ resonance. In addition to
The extent of a locally equilibrated parton plasma in d + Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 200 GeV is investigated as a function of centrality in a nonequilibrium-statistical framework. Based on a three-sources model, analytical solutions of a relativis
