Interlayer tunneling spectroscopy measurements were performed on mesa arrays of Bi-2212 single crystals, intercalated with HgBr$_2$. Tunneling conductances were obtained over a wide temperature range to examine the spectral features, especially the behavior of the quasiparticle peaks corresponding to superconducting energy gaps (SGs). Experimental spectra showed that gap-like features are still present even for the temperatures far above the transition temperature, T$_c$. This evidence is consistent with the idea that the SG evolves into a pseudogap above T$_c$ for HgBr$_2$-intercalated Bi-2212 single crystals.
We report measurements of AC susceptibility and hence the in-plane London penetration depth on the same samples of Bi:2212 and Bi(Y):2212 for many values of the planar hole concentration/CuO2 unit (p). These support the scenario in which the pseudoga
We present results of Raman scattering experiments in differently doped Bi-2212 single crystals. Below Tc the spectra show pair-breaking features in the whole doping range. The low frequency power laws confirm the existence of a $d_{x^2-y^2}$-wave or
We report the pressure effect in Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10+{delta} (Bi-2223) single crystal with a small amount of intergrowth of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+{delta} (Bi-2212). Their superconducting transition temperatures Tcs showed a domelike shape as a function of pressu
The specific heat of Nd(Y)Ba2Cu3Ox single crystals without substitution of Nd for Ba has been measured for various oxygen contents. In comparison with YBa2Cu3Ox, the maximum attainable transition temperature of the crystals is about 4 K higher and sh
Significant insights for critical current density (Jc) improvement in Bi-2212 super- conductor wires can be obtained by an accurate analysis of the structural and mi- crostructural properties evolving during the so-called partial-melt process, a heat
