We classify the localizing tensor ideals of the integral stable module category for any finite group $G$. This results in a generic classification of $mathbb{Z}[G]$-lattices of finite and infinite rank and globalizes the modular case established in celebrated work of Benson, Iyengar, and Krause. Further consequences include a verification of the generalized telescope conjecture in this context, a tensor product formula for integral cohomological support, as well as a generalization of Quillens stratification theorem for group cohomology. Our proof makes use of novel descent techniques for stratification in tensor-triangular geometry that are of independent interest.

The core of a finite-dimensional modular representation $M$ of a finite group $G$ is its largest non-projective summand. We prove that the dimensions of the cores of $M^{otimes n}$ have algebraic Hilbert series when $M$ is Omega-algebraic, in the sen se that the non-projective summands of $M^{otimes n}$ fall into finitely many orbits under the action of the syzygy operator $Omega$. Similarly, we prove that these dimension sequences are eventually linearly recursive when $M$ is what we term $Omega^{+}$-algebraic. This partially answers a conjecture by Benson and Symonds. Along the way, we also prove a number of auxiliary permanence results for linear recurrence under operations on multi-variable sequences.

For given representation of finite groups on a finite dimension complex vector space, we can define exterior powers of representations. In 1973, Knutson found one of methods of calculating the character of exterior powers of representations with prop erties of $lambda$-rings. In this paper, we base this result of Knutson, and relate characters and elements of necklace rings, which were introduced by N.Metropolis and G-C.Rota in 1983, via a generating function of the character of exterior powers of representations. We focus on integer-valued characters and discuss a relation between integer-valued characters and element of necklace rings which has finite support and is contained in some images of truncated operations.

Answering a question of I. M. Isaacs, we show that the largest degree of irreducible complex representations of any finite non-abelian simple group can be bounded in terms of the smaller degrees. We also study the asymptotic behavior of this largest degree for finite groups of Lie type. Moreover, we show that for groups of Lie type, the Steinberg character has largest degree among all unipotent characters.
Let $F$ be either $mathbb{R}$ or a finite extension of $mathbb{Q}_p$, and let $G$ be a finite central extension of the group of $F$-points of a reductive group defined over $F$. Also let $pi$ be a smooth representation of $G$ (Frechet of moderate gro wth if $F=mathbb{R}$). For each nilpotent orbit $mathcal{O}$ we consider a certain Whittaker quotient $pi_{mathcal{O}}$ of $pi$. We define the Whittaker support WS$(pi)$ to be the set of maximal $mathcal{O}$ among those for which $pi_{mathcal{O}} eq 0$. In this paper we prove that all $mathcal{O}inmathrm{WS}(pi)$ are quasi-admissible nilpotent orbits, generalizing some of the results in [Moe96,JLS16]. If $F$ is $p$-adic and $pi$ is quasi-cuspidal then we show that all $mathcal{O}inmathrm{WS}(pi)$ are $F$-distinguished, i.e. do not intersect the Lie algebra of any proper Levi subgroup of $G$ defined over $F$. We also give an adaptation of our argument to automorphic representations, generalizing some results from [GRS03,Shen16,JLS16,Cai] and confirming some conjectures from [Ginz06]. Our methods are a synergy of the methods of the above-mentioned papers, and of our preceding paper [GGS17].
In this paper we explicitly compute all Littlewood-Richardson coefficients for semisimple or Kac-Moody groups G, that is, the structure coefficients of the cohomology algebra H^*(G/P), where P is a parabolic subgroup of G. These coefficients are of i mportance in enumerative geometry, algebraic combinatorics and representation theory. Our formula for the Littlewood-Richardson coefficients is given in terms of the Cartan matrix and the Weyl group of G. However, if some off-diagonal entries of the Cartan matrix are 0 or -1, the formula may contain negative summands. On the other hand, if the Cartan matrix satisfies $a_{ij}a_{ji}ge 4$ for all $i,j$, then each summand in our formula is nonnegative that implies nonnegativity of all Littlewood-Richardson coefficients. We extend this and other results to the structure coefficients of the T-equivariant cohomology of flag varieties G/P and Bott-Samelson varieties Gamma_ii(G).
