A method for modelling the prompt production of molecular states using the hadronic rescattering framework of the general-purpose Pythia event generator is introduced. Production cross sections of possible exotic hadronic molecules via hadronic rescattering at the LHC are calculated for the $chi_{c1}(3872)$ resonance, a possible tetraquark state, as well as three possible pentaquark states, $P_c^+(4312)$, $P_c^+(4440)$, and $P_c^+(4457)$. For the $P_c^+$ states, the expected cross section from $Lambda_b$ decays is compared to the hadronic-rescattering production. The $chi_{c1}(3872)$ cross section is compared to the fiducial $chi_{c1}(3872)$ cross-section measurement by LHCb and found to contribute at a level of O(1%). Finally, the expected yields of $P_c^+$ production from hadronic rescattering during Run 3 of LHCb are estimated. The prompt background is found to be significantly larger than the prompt $P_c^+$ signal from hadronic rescattering.

Motivated by the recent finding of five $Omega_c$ states by the LHCb collaboration, and the successful reproduction of three of them in a recent approach searching for molecular states of meson-baryon with the quantum numbers of $Omega_c$, we extend these ideas and make predictions for the interaction of meson-baryon in the beauty sector, searching for poles in the scattering matrix that correspond to physical states. We find several $Omega_b$ states: two states with masses 6405~MeV and 6465~MeV for $J^P= frac{1}{2}^-$; two more states with masses 6427~MeV and 6665~MeV for $frac{3}{2}^-$; and three states between 6500 and 6820~MeV, degenerate with $J^P=frac{1}{2}^-,,frac{3}{2}^-$, stemming from the interaction of vector-baryon in the beauty sector.
We discuss the stability of hidden and open heavy-flavor hadronic states made of either two or three mesons. References are made in passing to studies regarding two and three-body systems containing baryons. We perform a comparative study analyzing t he results in terms of quark and hadron degrees of freedom. Compact and molecular states are found to exist in very specific situations. We estimate the decay width for the different scenarios: weak decays for bound states by the strong interaction, and strong decays for hadronic resonances above a decay threshold. The experimental observation of narrow hadrons lying well above their lowest decay threshold is theoretically justified.
We study the heavy quark spin (HQS) multiplet structure of P-wave $Qbar{Q}qqq$-type pentaquarks treated as molecules of a heavy meson and a heavy baryon. We define the light-cloud spin (LCS) basis decomposing the meson-baryon spin wavefunction into t he LCS and HQS parts. Introducing the LCS basis, we find HQS multiplets classified by the LCS; five HQS singlets, two HQS doublets, and three HQS triplets. We construct the one-pion exchange potential respecting the heavy quark spin and chiral symmetries to demonstrate which HQS multiplets are realized as a bound state. By solving the coupled channel Schrodinger equations, we study the heavy meson-baryon systems with $I=1/2$ and $J^P=(1/2^+, 3/2^+, 5/2^+, 7/2^+)$. The bound states which have same LCS structure are degenerate at the heavy quark limit, and the degeneracy is resolved for finite mass. This HQS multiplet structure will be measured in the future experiments.

The effect of hadronic rescattering on the elliptic flow has been investigated by the Cooper-Frye hadronization model from hydrodynamic evolution following by the afterburner hadronic rescattering model for 200 GeV/c Au + Au at 20-40% centrality. It is found that the hadronic rescattering can suppress elliptic flow $v_2$ in momentum space especially in lower transverse momentum region. In addition, the hadronic rescattering effects on transverse momentum spectra and anisotropy coordinate space of hadrons are studied.
We study the effect of a hot and dense medium on the binding energy of hadronic molecules with open-charm mesons. We focus on a recent chiral quark-model-based prediction of a molecular state in the $N bar D$ system. We analyze how the two-body thres holds and the hadron-hadron interactions are modified when quark and meson masses and quark-meson couplings change in a function of the temperature and baryon density according to predictions of the Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model. We find that in some cases the molecular binding is enhanced in medium as compared to their free-space binding. We discuss the consequences of our findings for the search for exotic hadrons in high-energy heavy-ion collisions as well as in the forthcoming facilities FAIR or J-PARC.
