The KM3NeT Collaboration has already produced more than one thousand acquisition boards, used for building two deep-sea neutrino detectors at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, with the aim of instrumenting a volume of several cubic kilometers with light sensors to detect the Cherenkov radiation produced in neutrino interactions. The the so-called Digital Optical Modules, house the PMTs and the acquisition and control electronics of the module, the Central Logic Board, which includes a Xilinx FPGA and embedded soft processor. The present work presents the architecture and functionalities of the software embedded in the soft processor of the Central Logic Board.
GRPC Semi-Digital HCAL is a solid option for the PFA oriented calorimetry of the International Linear Collider. Together with the hardware, the software developments is progressing steadily. The stauts and plans for the GRPC SDHCAL software developme
KM3NeT is a deep-sea infrastructure composed of two neutrino telescopes being deployed in the Mediterranean Sea: ARCA, near Sicily in Italy, designed for neutrino astronomy, and ORCA, near Toulon in France, designed for neutrino oscillation physics.
The Technical Design for the COMET Phase-I experiment is presented in this paper. COMET is an experiment at J-PARC, Japan, which will search for neutrinoless conversion of muons into electrons in the field of an aluminium nucleus ($mu-e$ conversion,
An experiment to search for mu-e conversion named COMET is being constructed at J-PARC. The experiment will be carried out using a two-stage approach of Phase-I and Phase-II. The data taking system of Phase-I is developed based on common network tech
Since long time, the compelling scientific goals of future high energy physics experiments were a driving factor in the development of advanced detector technologies. A true innovation in detector instrumentation concepts came in 1968, with the devel
