We use QCD sum rules to study mass spectra of $P$-wave charmed baryons of the $SU(3)$ flavor $mathbf{6}_F$. We also use light-cone sum rules to study their $S$- and $D$-wave decays into ground-state charmed baryons together with light pseudoscalar and vector mesons. We work within the framework of heavy quark effective theory, and we also consider the mixing effect. Our results can explain many excited charmed baryons as a whole, including the $Sigma_c(2800)^0$, $Xi_c(2923)^0$, $Xi_c(2939)^0$, $Xi_{c}(2965)^{0}$, $Omega_c(3000)^0$, $Omega_c(3050)^0$, $Omega_c(3066)^0$, $Omega_c(3090)^0$, and $Omega_c(3119)^0$. Their masses, mass splittings within the same multiplets, and decay properties are extracted for future experimental searches.

We study the three-body anti-triplet ${bf B_c}to {bf B_n}MM$ decays with the $SU(3)$ flavor ($SU(3)_f$) symmetry, where ${bf B_c}$ denotes the charmed baryon anti-triplet of $(Xi_c^0,-Xi_c^+,Lambda_c^+)$, and ${bf B_n}$ and $M(M)$ represent baryon an d meson octets, respectively. By considering only the S-wave $MM$-pair contributions without resonance effects, the decays of ${bf B_c}to {bf B_n}MM$ can be decomposed into irreducible forms with 11 parameters under $SU(3)_f$, which are fitted by the 14 existing data, resulting in a reasonable value of $chi^2/d.o.f=2.8$ for the fit. Consequently, we find that the triangle sum rule of ${cal A}(Lambda_c^+to nbar K^0 pi^+)-{cal A}(Lambda_c^+to pK^- pi^+)-sqrt 2 {cal A}(Lambda_c^+to pbar K^0 pi^0)=0$ given by the isospin symmetry holds under $SU(3)_f$, where ${cal A}$ stands for the decay amplitude. In addition, we predict that ${cal B}(Lambda_c^+to n pi^{+} bar{K}^{0})=(0.9pm 0.8)times 10^{-2}$, which is $3-4$ times smaller than the BESIII observation, indicating the existence of the resonant states. For the to-be-observed ${bf B_c}to {bf B_n}MM$ decays, we compute the branching fractions with the $SU(3)_f$ amplitudes to be compared to the BESIII and LHCb measurements in the future.

The radiative decays of the p-wave charmed heavy baryons to the ground state baryon states are studied in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. Firstly, the transition form factors that describe these transitions are estimated, and th en using these form factors the corresponding decay widths are calculated. A comparison of our results on the decay widths with those predicted by the other approaches existing in literature is performed.
We examine charmed-strange mesons within the framework of the constituent quark model, focusing on the states with L=1. We are particularly interested in the mixing of two spin-states that are involved in $D_{s1}(2536)$ and the recently discovered $D _{sJ}(2460)$. We assume that these two mesons form a pair of states with J=1. These spin-states are mixed by a type of the spin-orbit interaction that violates the total-spin conservation. Without assuming explicit forms for the interactions as functions of the interquark distance, we relate the matrix elements of all relevant spin-dependent interactions to the mixing angle and the observed masses of the L=1 quartet. We find that the spin-spin interaction, among various types of the spin-dependent interactions, plays a particularly interesting role in determining the spin structure of $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{sJ}(2460)$.
There has been important experimental progress in the sector of heavy baryons in the past several years. We study the strong decays of the S-wave, P-wave, D-wave and radially excited charmed baryons using the $^3P_0$ model. After comparing the calcul ated decay pattern and total width with the available data, we discuss the possible internal structure and quantum numbers of those charmed baryons observed recently.

We extract directly (for the first time) the charmed (C=1) and bottom (B=-1) heavy-baryons (spin 1/2 and 3/2) mass-splittings due to SU(3) breaking using double ratios of QCD spectral sum rules (QSSR) in full QCD, which are less sensitive to the exac t value and definition of the heavy quark mass, to the perturbative radiative corrections and to the QCD continuum contributions than the simple ratios commonly used for determining the heavy baryon masses. Noticing that most of the mass-splittings are mainly controlled by the ratio kappa= <bar ss>/<bar dd> of the condensate, we extract this ratio, by allowing 1 sigma deviation from the observed masses of the Xi_{c,b} and of the Omega_c. We obtain: kappa=0.74(3), which improves the existing estimates: kappa=0.70(10) from light hadrons. Using this value, we deduce M_{Omega_b}=6078.5(27.4) MeV which agrees with the recent CDF data but disagrees by 2.4 sigma with the one from D0. Predictions of the Xi_Q and of the spectra of spin 3/2 baryons containing one or two strange quark are given in Table 2. Predictions of the hyperfine splittings Omega*_Q- Omega_Q and Xi*_Q-Xi_Q are also given in Table 3. Starting for a general choice of the interpolating currents for the spin 1/2 baryons, our analysis favours the optimal value of the mixing angle b= (-1/5 -- 0) found from light and non-strange heavy baryons.
