We revisit some uniqueness results for a geometric nonlinear PDE related to the scalar curvature in Riemannian geometry and CR geometry. In the Riemannian case we give a new proof of the uniqueness result assuming only a positive lower bound for Ricci curvature. We apply the same principle in the CR case and reconstruct the Jerison-Lee identity in a more general setting. As a consequence we prove a stronger uniqueness result in the CR case. We also discuss some open problems for further study.

Given a Riemannian spin^c manifold whose boundary is endowed with a Riemannian flow, we show that any solution of the basic Dirac equation satisfies an integral inequality depending on geometric quantities, such as the mean curvature and the ONeill t ensor. This paper is a short summary of our recent work on the medians and means of probability measures in Riemannian manifolds. Firstly, the existence and uniqueness results of local medians are given. In order to compute medians in practical cases, we pr opose a subgradient algorithm and prove its convergence. After that, Frechet medians are considered. We prove their statistical consistency and give some quantitative estimations of their robustness with the aid of upper curvature bounds. We also show that, in compact Riemannian manifolds, the Frechet medians of generic data points are always unique. Stochastic and deterministic algorithms are proposed for computing Riemannian p-means. The rate of convergence and error estimates of these algorithms are also obtained. Finally, we apply the medians and the Riemannian geometry of Toeplitz covariance matrices to radar target detection.
The recently introduced Lipschitz-Killing curvature measures on pseudo-Riemannian manifolds satisfy a Weyl principle, i.e. are invariant under isometric embeddings. We show that they are uniquely characterized by this property. We apply this characte rization to prove a Kunneth-type formula for Lipschitz-Killing curvature measures, and to classify the invariant generalized valuations and curvature measures on all isotropic pseudo-Riemannian space forms.

In this work we consider viscosity solutions to second order partial differential equations on Riemannian manifolds. We prove maximum principles for solutions to Dirichlet problem on a compact Riemannian manifold with boundary. Using a different meth od, we generalize maximum principles of Omori and Yau to a viscosity version.

We extend profound results in pluripotential theory on Kahler manifolds to Sasaki setting via its transverse Kahler structure. As in Kahler case, these results form a very important piece to solve the existence of Sasaki metrics with constant scalar curvature (cscs) in terms of properness of K-energy. One main result is to generalize T. Darvas theory on the geometric structure of the space of Kahler potentials in Sasaki setting. Along the way we extend most of corresponding results in pluripotential theory to Sasaki setting via its transverse Kahler structure.
