We use a diffusion Monte Carlo method to solve the many-body Schrodinger equation describing fully-heavy tetraquark systems. This approach allows to reduce the uncertainty of the numerical calculation at the percent level, accounts for multi-particle correlations in the physical observables, and avoids the usual quark-clustering assumed in other theoretical techniques applied to the same problem. The interaction between particles was modeled by the most general and accepted potential, i.e. a pairwise interaction including Coulomb, linear-confining and hyperfine spin-spin terms. This means that, in principle, our analysis should provide some rigorous statements about the mass location of the all-heavy tetraquark ground states, which is particularly timely due to the very recent observation made by the LHCb collaboration of some enhancements in the invariant mass spectra of $J/psi$-pairs. Our main results are: (i) the $ccbar cbar c$, $ccbar bbar b$ ($bbbar cbar c$) and $bbbar b bar b$ lowest-lying states are located well above their corresponding meson-meson thresholds; (ii) the $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ $ccbar cbar c$ ground state with preferred quark-antiquark pair configurations is compatible with the enhancement(s) observed by the LHCb collaboration; (iii) our results for the $ccbar cbar b$ and $bbbar cbar b$ sectors seem to indicate that the $0^+$ and $1^+$ ground states are almost degenerate with the $2^+$ located around $100,text{MeV}$ above them; (iv) smaller mass splittings for the $cbbar cbar b$ system are predicted, with absolute mass values in reasonable agreement with other theoretical works; (v) the $1^{++}$ $cbbar cbar b$ tetraquark ground state lies at its lowest $S$-wave meson-meson threshold and it is compatible with a molecular configuration.

Two decades after its unexpected discovery, the properties of the $X(3872)$ exotic resonance are still under intense scrutiny. In particular, there are doubts about its nature as an ensemble of mesons or having any other internal structure. We use a Diffusion Monte Carlo method to solve the many-body Schrodinger equation that describes this state as a $c bar c n bar n$ ($n=u$ or $d$ quark) system. This approach accounts for multi-particle correlations in physical observables avoiding the usual quark-clustering assumed in other theoretical techniques. The most general and accepted pairwise Coulomb$,+,$linear-confining$,+,$hyperfine spin-spin interaction, with parameters obtained by a simultaneous fit of around 100 masses of mesons and baryons, is used. The $X(3872)$ contains light quarks whose masses are given by the mechanism responsible of the dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry. The same mechanisms gives rise to Goldstone-boson exchange interactions between quarks that have been fixed in the last 10-20 years reproducing hadron, hadron-hadron and multiquark phenomenology. It appears that a meson-meson molecular configuration is preferred but, contrary to the usual assumption of $D^0bar{D}^{ast0}$ molecule for the $X(3872)$, our formalism produces $omega J/psi$ and $rho J/psi$ clusters as the most stable ones, which could explain in a natural way all the observed features of the $X(3872)$.
In this work, we systematically study the mass spectrum of the fully heavy tetraquark in an extended chromomagnetic model, which includes both color and chromomagnetic interactions. Numerical results indicate that the energy level is mainly determine d by the color interaction, which favors the color-sextet $ket{(QQ)^{6_{c}}(bar{Q}bar{Q})^{bar{6}_{c}}}$ configuration over the color-triplet $ket{(QQ)^{bar{3}_{c}}(bar{Q}bar{Q})^{3_{c}}}$ one. The chromomagnetic interaction mixes the two color configurations and gives small splitting. The ground state is always dominated by the color-sextet configuration. We find no stable state below the lowest heavy quarkonium pair thresholds. Most states may be wide since they have at least one $S$-wave decay channel into two $S$-wave mesons. One possible narrow state is the $1^{+}$ $bbbar{b}bar{c}$ state with a mass $15719.1~text{MeV}$. It is just above the $eta_{b}bar{B}_{c}$ threshold. But this channel is forbidden because of the conservation of the angular momentum and parity.
We calculate the masses of the $QQbar{q}bar{q}$ ($Q=c,b$; $q=u,d,s$) tetraquark states with the aid of heavy diquark-antiquark symmetry (HDAS) and the chromomagnetic interaction (CMI) model. The masses of the highest-spin ($J=2$) tetraquarks that hav e only the $(QQ)_{bar{3}_c}(bar{q}bar{q})_{3_c}$ color structure are related with those of conventional hadrons using HDAS. Thereafter, the masses of their partner states are determined with the mass splittings in the CMI model. Our numerical results reveal that: (i) the lightest $ccbar{n}bar{n}$ ($n=u,d$) is an $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$ state around 3929 MeV (53 MeV above the $DD^*$ threshold) and none of the double-charm tetraquarks are stable; (ii) the stable double-bottom tetraquarks are the lowest $0(1^+)$ $bbbar{n}bar{n}$ around 10488 MeV ($approx116$ MeV below the $BB^*$ threshold) and the lowest $1/2(1^+)$ $bbbar{n}bar{s}$ around 10671 MeV ($approx20$ MeV below the $BB_s^*/B_sB^*$ threshold); and (iii) the two lowest $bcbar{n}bar{n}$ tetraquarks, namely the lowest $0(0^+)$ around 7167 MeV and the lowest $0(1^+)$ around 7223 MeV, are near-threshold states. Moreover, we discuss the constraints on the masses of double-heavy hadrons. Specifically, for the lowest nonstrange tetraquarks, we obtain $T_{cc}<3965$ MeV, $T_{bb}<10627$ MeV, and $T_{bc}<7199$ MeV.
We revisit QCD calculations of radiative heavy meson decay form factors by including the subleading power corrections from the twist-two photon distribution amplitude at next-to-leading-order in $alpha_s$ with the method of the light-cone sum rules ( LCSR). The desired hard-collinear factorization formula for the vacuum-to-photon correlation function with the interpolating currents for two heavy mesons is constructed with the operator-product-expansion technique in the presence of evanescent operators. Applying the background field approach, the higher twist corrections from both the two-particle and three-particle photon distribution amplitudes are further computed in the LCSR framework at leading-order in QCD, up to the twist-four accuracy. Combining the leading power point-like photon contribution at tree level and the subleading power resolved photon corrections from the newly derived LCSR, we update theory predictions for the nonperturbative couplings describing the electromagnetic decay processes of the heavy mesons $H^{ast , pm} to H^{pm} , gamma$, $H^{ast , 0} to H^{0} , gamma$, $H_s^{ast , pm} to H_s^{pm} , gamma$ (with $H=D, , B$). Furthermore, we perform an exploratory comparisons of our sum rule computations of the heavy-meson magnetic couplings with the previous determinations based upon different QCD approaches and phenomenological models.
We report on the first global QCD analysis of the quark transversity distributions in the nucleon from semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering (SIDIS), using a new Monte Carlo method based on nested sampling and constraints on the isovector tensor c harge $g_T$ from lattice QCD. A simultaneous fit to the available SIDIS Collins asymmetry data is compatible with $g_T$ values extracted from a comprehensive reanalysis of existing lattice simulations, in contrast to previous analyses which found significantly smaller $g_T$ values. The contributions to the nucleon tensor charge from $u$ and $d$ quarks are found to be $delta u = 0.3(2)$ and $delta d = -0.7(2)$ at a scale $Q^2 = 2$ GeV$^2$.
