In an easy-plane antiferromagnet with the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction (DMI), magnons are subject to an effective spin-momentum locking. An in-plane temperature gradient can generate interfacial accumulation of magnons with a specified polarization, realizing the magnon thermal Edelstein effect. We theoretically investigate the injection and detection of this thermally-driven spin polarization in an adjacent heavy metal with strong spin Hall effect. We find that the inverse spin Hall voltage depends monotonically on both temperature and the DMI but non-monotonically on the hard-axis anisotropy. Counterintuitively, the magnon thermal Edelstein effect is an even function of a magnetic field applied along the Neel vector.

We demonstrate a spin to charge current conversion via magnon-phonon coupling and inverse Edelstein effect on the hybrid device Ni/Cu(Ag)/Bi$_{2}$O$_{3}$. The generation of spin current ($J_{s}approx 10^{8}A/m^{2}$) due to magnon - phonon coupling re veals the viability of acoustic spin pumping as mechanism for the development of spintronic devices. A full in-plane magnetic field angle dependence of the power absorption and a combination of longitudinal and transverse voltage detection reveals the symmetric and asymmetric components of the inverse Edelstein effect voltage induced by Rayleigh type surface acoustic waves. While the symmetric components are well studied, asymmetric components are widely unexplored. We assign the asymmetric contributions to the interference between longitudinal and shear waves and an anisotropic charge distribution in our hybrid device.
Conversion of traveling magnons into an electron carried spin current is demonstrated in a time resolved experiment using a spatially separated inductive spin-wave source and an inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) detector. A short spin-wave packet is ex cited in a yttrium-iron garnet (YIG) waveguide by a microwave signal and is detected at a distance of 3 mm by an attached Pt layer as a delayed ISHE voltage pulse. The delay in the detection appears due to the finite spin-wave group velocity and proves the magnon spin transport. The experiment suggests utilization of spin waves for the information transfer over macroscopic distances in spintronic devices and circuits.
We propose a new mechanism for the thermal Hall effect in exchange spin-wave systems, which is induced by the magnon-phonon interaction. Using symmetry arguments, we first show that this effect is quite general, and exists whenever the mirror symmetr y in the direction of the magnetization is broken. We then demonstrate our result in a collinear ferromagnet on a square lattice, with perpendicular easy-axis anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction from mirror symmetry breaking. We show that the thermal Hall conductivity is controlled by the resonant contribution from the anti-crossing points between the magnon and phonon branches, and estimate its size to be comparable to that of the magnon mediated thermal Hall effect.
We predict an anomalous thermal Hall effect (ATHE) mediated by photons in networks of Weyl semi-metals. Contrary to the photon thermal Hall effect in magneto-optical systems which requires the application of an external magnetic field the ATHE in a W eyl semi-metals network is an intrinsic property of these systems. Since the Weyl semi-metals can exhibit a strong nonreciprocal response in the infrared over a broad spectral range the magnitude of thermal Hall flux in these systems can be relatively large compared to the primary flux. This ATHE paves the way for a directional control of heat flux by localy tuning the magnitude of temperature field without changing the direction of temperature gradient.

We present measurements of inverse spin Hall effects (ISHEs) in which the conversion of a spin current into a charge current via the ISHE is detected not as a voltage in a standard open circuit but directly as the charge current generated in a closed loop. The method is applied to the ISHEs of Bi-doped Cu and Pt. The derived expression of ISHE for the loop structure can relate the charge current flowing into the loop to the spin Hall angle of the SHE material and the resistance of the loop.
