We analyze the ultimate quantum limit of resolving two identical sources in a noisy environment. We prove that in the presence of noise causing false excitation, such as thermal noise, the quantum Fisher information of arbitrary quantum states for the separation of the objects, which quantifies the resolution, always converges to zero as the separation goes to zero. Noisy cases contrast with a noiseless case where it has been shown to be nonzero for a small distance in various circumstances, revealing the superresolution. In addition, we show that false excitation on an arbitrary measurement, such as dark counts, also makes the classical Fisher information of the measurement approach to zero as the separation goes to zero. Finally, a practically relevant situation resolving two identical thermal sources, is quantitatively investigated by using the quantum and classical Fisher information of finite spatial mode multiplexing, showing that the amount of noise poses a limit on the resolution in a noisy system.

In this work we give a $(n,n)$-threshold protocol for sequential secret sharing of quantum information for the first time. By sequential secret sharing we refer to a situation where the dealer is not having all the secrets at the same time, at the beginning of the protocol; however if the dealer wishes to share secrets at subsequent phases she/he can realize it with the help of our protocol. First of all we present our protocol for three parties and later we generalize it for the situation where we have $(n>3)$ parties. Further in a much more realistic situation, we consider the sharing of qubits through two kinds of noisy channels, namely the phase damping channel (PDC) and the amplitude damping channel (ADC). When we carry out the sequential secret sharing in the presence of noise we observe that the fidelity of secret sharing at the $k^{th}$ iteration is independent of the effect of noise at the $(k-1)^{th}$ iteration. In case of ADC we have seen that the average fidelity of secret sharing drops down to $frac{1}{2}$ which is equivalent to a random guess of the quantum secret. Interestingly, we find that by applying weak measurements one can enhance the average fidelity. This increase of the average fidelity can be achieved with certain trade off with the success probability of the weak measurements.
Partial teleportation of entanglement is to teleport one particle of an entangled pair through a quantum channel. This is conceptually equivalent to quantum swapping. We consider the partial teleportation of entanglement in the noisy environment, emp loying the Werner-state representation of the noisy channel for the simplicity of calculation. To have the insight of the many-body teleportation, we introduce the measure of correlation information and study the transfer of the correlation information and entanglement. We find that the fidelity gets smaller as the initial-state is entangled more for a given entanglement of the quantum channel. The entangled channel transfers at least some of the entanglement to the final state.

We calculate the quantum Fisher information (QFI) for estimating, using a circular imaging aperture, the length of a uniformly bright incoherent line source with a fixed mid-point and the radius of a uniformly bright incoherent disk shaped source wit h a fixed center. Prolate spheroidal wavefunctions (PSWFs) on a centered line segment and its generalized version on a centered disk furnish the respective bases for computing the eigenstates and eigenvalues of the one-photon density operator, from which we subsequently calculate QFI with respect to the spatial parameters of the two sources. Zernike polynomials provide a good set into which to project the full source wavefront, and such classical wavefront projection data can realize quantum limited estimation error bound in each case. We subsequently generalize our approach to analyze sources of arbitrary brightness distributions and shapes using a certain class of Bessel Fourier functions that are closely related to the PSWFs. We illustrate the general approach by computing QFI for estimating the lengths of the principal axes of a uniformly bright, centered elliptical disk.
We suggest overcoming the Rayleigh catastrophe and reaching superresolution for imaging with both spatially and temporally-correlated field of a superradiant quantum antenna. Considering far-field radiation of two interacting spontaneously emitting t wo-level systems, we show that for the measurement of the temporally-delayed second-order correlation function of the scattered field, the Fisher information does not tend to zero with diminishing the distance between a pair of scatterers even for non-sharp time-averaged detection. For position estimation of a larger number of scatterers, measurement of the time-delayed function is able to provide a considerable accuracy gain over the zero-delayed function. We show also that the superresolution with the considered quantum antenna can be achieved for both near-field imaging and estimating parameters of the antenna.
We consider the problem of estimating the spatial separation between two mutually incoherent point light sources using the super-resolution imaging technique based on spatial mode demultiplexing with noisy detectors. We show that in the presence of n oise the resolution of the measurement is limited by the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the minimum resolvable spatial separation has a characteristic dependence of $sim$SNR$^{-1/2}$. Several detection techniques, including direct photon counting, as well as homodyne and heterodyne detection are considered.
