The tetragonal Mo$_5$PB$_2$ compound was recently reported to show superconductivity with a critical temperature up to 9.2 K. In search of evidence for multiple superconducting gaps in Mo$_5$PB$_2$, comprehensive measurements, including magnetic susceptibility, electrical resistivity, heat capacity, and muon-spin rotation and relaxation ($mu$SR) measurements were carried out. Data from both low-temperature superfluid density and electronic specific heat suggest a nodeless superconducting ground state in Mo$_5$PB$_2$. Two superconducting energy gaps $Delta_0$ = 1.02 meV (25%) and 1.49 meV (75%) are required to describe the low-$T$ electronic specific-heat data. The multigap features are clearly evidenced by the field dependence of the electronic specific-heat coefficient and the Gaussian relaxation rate in the superconducting state (i.e., superfluid density), as well as by the temperature dependence of the upper critical field. By combining our extensive experimental results with numerical band-structure calculations, we provide compelling evidence of multigap superconductivity in Mo$_5$PB$_2$.

We find evidence that the newly discovered Fe-based superconductor KCa$_2$Fe$_4$As$_4$F$_2$ ($T_c~=~33.36(7)$~K) displays multigap superconductivity with line nodes. Transverse field muon spin rotation ($mu$SR) measurements show that the temperature dependence of the superfluid density does not have the expected behavior of a fully-gapped superconductor, due to the lack of saturation at low temperatures. Moreover, the data cannot be well fitted using either single band models or a multiband $s$-wave model, yet are well described by two-gap models with line nodes on either one or both of the gaps. Meanwhile the zero-field $mu$SR results indicate a lack of time reversal symmetry breaking in the superconducting state, but suggest the presence of magnetic fluctuations. These results demonstrate a different route for realizing nodal superconductivity in iron-based superconductors. Here the gap structure is drastically altered upon replacing one of the spacer layers, indicating the need to understand how the pairing state is tuned by changes of the asymmetry between the pnictogens located either side of the Fe planes.
Layered van der Waals (vdW) materials are emerging as one of the most versatile directions in the field of quantum condensed matter physics. They allow an unprecedented control of electronic properties via stacking of different types of two-dimension al (2D) materials. A fascinating frontier, largely unexplored, is the stacking of strongly-correlated phases of matter in vdW materials. Here, we study 4Hb-TaS$_2$, which naturally realizes an alternating stacking of a Mott insulator, recently reported as a gapless spin-liquid candidate(1T-TaS$_2$), and a 2D superconductor (1H-TaS$_2$). This raises the question of how these two components affect each other. We find a superconducting ground state with a transition temperature of 2.7K, which is significantly elevated compared to the 2H polytype (Tc=0.7K). Strikingly, the superconducting state exhibits signatures of time-reversal-symmetry breaking abruptly appearing at the superconducting transition, which can be naturally explained by a chiral superconducting state.

The noncentrosymmetric superconductor Mo$_3$Rh$_2$N, with $T_c = 4.6$ K, adopts a $beta$-Mn-type structure (space group $P$4$_1$32), similar to that of Mo$_3$Al$_2$C. Its bulk superconductivity was characterized by magnetization and heat-capacity mea surements, while its microscopic electronic properties were investigated by means of muon-spin rotation and relaxation ($mu$SR). The low-temperature superfluid density, measured via transverse-field (TF)-$mu$SR, evidences a fully-gapped superconducting state with $Delta_0 = 1.73 k_mathrm{B}T_c$, very close to 1.76 $k_mathrm{B}T_c$ - the BCS gap value for the weak coupling case, and a magnetic penetration depth $lambda_0 = 586$ nm. The absence of spontaneous magnetic fields below the onset of superconductivity, as determined by zero-field (ZF)-$mu$SR measurements, hints at a preserved time-reversal symmetry in the superconducting state. Both TF-and ZF-$mu$SR results evidence a spin-singlet pairing in Mo$_3$Rh$_2$N.
The recently discovered kagome superconductor CsV$_3$Sb$_5$ ($T_c simeq 2.5$ K) has been found to host charge order as well as a non-trivial band topology, encompassing multiple Dirac points and probable surface states. Such a complex and phenomenolo gically rich system is, therefore, an ideal playground for observing unusual electronic phases. Here, we report on microscopic studies of its anisotropic superconducting properties by means of transverse-field muon spin rotation ($mu$SR) experiments. The temperature dependences of the in-plane and out-of-plane components of the magnetic penetration depth $lambda_{ab}^{-2}(T)$ and $lambda_{c}^{-2}(T)$ indicate that the superconducting order parameter exhibits a two-gap ($s+s$)-wave symmetry, reflecting the multiple Fermi surfaces of CsV3Sb5. The multiband nature of its superconductivity is further validated by the different temperature dependences of the anisotropic magnetic penetration depth $gamma_lambda(T)$ and upper critical field $gamma_{rm B_{c2}}(T)$, both in close analogy with the well known two-gap superconductor MgB$_2$. Remarkably, the high value of the $T_c/lambda^{-2}(0)$ ratio in both field orientations strongly suggests the unconventional nature of superconductivity. The relaxation rates obtained from zero field $mu$SR experiments do not show noticeable change across the superconducting transition, indicating that superconductivity does not break time reversal symmetry.
We performed thermal conductivity measurements on a single crystal of the ferromagnetic superconductorUCoGe under magnetic field. Two different temperature dependencies of the thermal conductivity are observed, for H//b linear at low magnetic field a nd quadratic for magnetic field larger than 1 Tesla. At the same field value, a plateau appears in the field dependency of the residual term of thermal conductivity. Such observations suggest a multigap superconductivity with a line of nodes in the superconducting gap.
