Hawking radiation remains a crucial theoretical prediction of semi-classical gravity and is considered one of the critical tests for a model of quantum gravity. However, Hawkings original derivation used quantum field theory on a fixed background. Efforts have been made to include the spacetime fluctuations arising from the quantization of the dynamical degrees of freedom of gravity itself and study the effects on the Hawking particles. Using semi-classical analysis, we study the effects of quantum fluctuations of scalar field stress-tensors in asymptotic non-flat spherically symmetric black-hole space-times. Using two different approaches, we obtain a critical length-scale from the horizon at which gravitational interactions become large, i.e., when the back reaction to the metric due to the scalar field becomes significant. For 4-D Schwarzschild AdS (SAdS) and Schwarzschild de Sitter (SdS), the number of relevant modes for the back-reaction is finite only for a specific range of values of M/L (where M is the mass of the black-hole, and L is related to the modulus of the cosmological constant). For SAdS (SdS), the number of relevant modes is infinite for M/L $sim$ 1 (0.2 < M/L < $frac{1}{3sqrt{3}}$). We discuss the implications of these results for the late stages of black-hole evaporation.

We analyze the effects of the back reaction due to a conformal field theory (CFT) on a black hole spacetime with negative cosmological constant. We study the geometry numerically obtained by taking into account the energy momentum tensor of CFT appro ximated by a radiation fluid. We find a sequence of configurations without a horizon in thermal equilibrium (CFT stars), followed by a sequence of configurations with a horizon. We discuss the thermodynamic properties of the system and how back reaction effects alter the space-time structure. We also provide an interpretation of the above sequence of solutions in terms of the AdS/CFT correspondence. The dual five-dimensional description is given by the Karch-Randall model, in which a sequence of five-dimensional floating black holes followed by a sequence of brane localized black holes correspond to the above solutions.
A numerical analysis shows that a class of scalar-tensor theories of gravity with a scalar field minimally and nonminimally coupled to the curvature allows static and spherically symmetric black hole solutions with scalar-field hair in asymptotically flat spacetimes. In the limit when the horizon radius of the black hole tends to zero, regular scalar solitons are found. The asymptotically flat solutions are obtained provided that the scalar potential $V(phi)$ of the theory is not positive semidefinite and such that its local minimum is also a zero of the potential, the scalar field settling asymptotically at that minimum. The configurations for the minimal coupling case, although unstable under spherically symmetric linear perturbations, are regular and thus can serve as counterexamples to the no-scalar-hair conjecture. For the nonminimal coupling case, the stability will be analyzed in a forthcoming paper.

We study the evaporation of black holes in non-commutative space-times. We do this by calculating the correction to the detectors response function for a moving mirror in terms of the noncommutativity parameter $Theta$ and then extracting the number density as modified by this parameter. We find that allowing space and time to be non-commutative increases the decay rate of a black hole.
The aim of this work is to describe the complete family of non-expanding Plebanski-Demianski type D space-times and to present their possible interpretation. We explicitly express the most general form of such (electro)vacuum solutions with any cosmo logical constant, and we investigate the geometrical and physical meaning of the seven parameters they contain. We present various metric forms, and by analyzing the corresponding coordinates in the weak-field limit we elucidate the global structure of these space-times, such as the character of possible singularities. We also demonstrate that members of this family can be understood as generalizations of classic B-metrics. In particular, the BI-metric represents an external gravitational field of a tachyonic (superluminal) source, complementary to the AI-metric which is the well-known Schwarzschild solution for exact gravitational field of a static (standing) source.

The effect of the Hawking temperature on the entanglement and teleportation for the scalar field in a most general, static and asymptotically flat black hole with spherical symmetry has been investigated. It is shown that the same initial entanglemen t for the state parameter $alpha$ and its normalized partners $sqrt{1-alpha^{2}}$ will be degraded by the Hawking effect with increasing Hawking temperature along two different trajectories except for the maximally entangled state. In the infinite Hawking temperature limit, corresponding to the case of the black hole evaporating completely, the state has no longer distillable entanglement for any $alpha$. It is interesting to note that the mutual information in this limit equals to just half of the initially mutual information. It has also been demonstrated that the fidelity of teleportation decreases as the Hawking temperature increases, which just indicates the degradation of entanglement.
