The precise determination of the $B_c to tau u_tau$ branching ratio provides an advantageous opportunity for understanding the electroweak structure of the Standard Model, measuring the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ and probing new physics models. In this paper, we discuss the potential of measuring the processes of $B_c to tau u_tau$ with $tau$ decaying leptonically at the proposed Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC). We conclude that during the $Z$ pole operation, the channel signal can achieve five $sigma$ significance with $sim 10^9$ $Z$ decays, and the signal strength accuracies for $B_c to tau u_tau$ can reach around 1% level at the nominal CEPC $Z$ pole statistics of one trillion $Z$ decays assuming the total $B_c to tau u_tau$ yield is $3.6 times 10^6$. Our theoretical analysis indicates the accuracy could provide a strong constraint on the general effective Hamiltonian for the $b to ctau u$ transition. If the total $B_c$ yield can be determined to $mathcal{O}(1%)$ level of accuracy in the future, these results also imply $|V_{cb}|$ could be measured up to $mathcal{O}(1%)$ level of accuracy.

In a combined study of the decay spectra of $tau^-to K_Spi^- u_tau$ and $tau^-to K^-eta u_tau$ decays within a dispersive representation of the required form factors, we illustrate how the $K^*(1410)$ resonance parameters, defined through the pole po sition in the complex plane, can be extracted with improved precision as compared to previous studies. While we obtain a substantial improvement in the mass, the uncertainty in the width is only slightly reduced, with the findings $M_{K^{*prime}}=1304 pm 17,$MeV and $Gamma_{K^{*prime}} = 171 pm 62,$MeV. Further constraints on the width could result from updated analyses of the $Kpi$ and/or $Keta$ spectra using the full Belle-I data sample. Prospects for Belle-II are also discussed. As the $K^-pi^0$ vector form factor enters the description of the decay $tau^-to K^-eta u_tau$, we are in a position to investigate isospin violations in its parameters like the form factor slopes. In this respect also making available the spectrum of the transition $tau^-to K^-pi^0 u_tau$ would be extremely useful, as it would allow to study those isospin violations with much higher precision.

Measurements of the $Z to tautau$ and $W to tau u_tau$ cross-sections at the LHC with data taken at $sqrt{s} = 7$ TeV are reported for the ATLAS, CMS, and LHCb experiments. All results are found to agree with the Standard Model.
We report the first observation of $D^+totau^+ u_tau$ with a significance of $5.1sigma$. We measure ${cal B}(D^+totau^+ u_tau) = (1.20pm0.24_{text{stat.}}pm0.12_{text{syst.}})times10^{-3}$. Taking the world average ${cal B}(D^+tomu^+ u_mu) = (3.74pm0 .17)times10^{-4}$, we obtain $R_{tau/mu} =Gamma(D^+totau^+ u_tau)/Gamma(D^+tomu^+ u_mu) = 3.21pm0.64_{text{stat.}}pm0.43_{text{syst.}}$, which is consistent with the Standard Model expectation of lepton flavor universality. Using external inputs, our results give values for the $D^+$ decay constant $f_{D^+}$ and the CKM matrix element $|V_{cd}|$ that are consistent with, but less precise than, other determinations.

The discovery of the Higgs boson with its mass around 125 GeV by the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations marked the beginning of a new era in high energy physics. The Higgs boson will be the subject of extensive studies of the ongoing LHC program. At the sa me time, lepton collider based Higgs factories have been proposed as a possible next step beyond the LHC, with its main goal to precisely measure the properties of the Higgs boson and probe potential new physics associated with the Higgs boson. The Circular Electron Positron Collider~(CEPC) is one of such proposed Higgs factories. The CEPC is an $e^+e^-$ circular collider proposed by and to be hosted in China. Located in a tunnel of approximately 100~km in circumference, it will operate at a center-of-mass energy of 240~GeV as the Higgs factory. In this paper, we present the first estimates on the precision of the Higgs boson property measurements achievable at the CEPC and discuss implications of these measurements.
A measurement is reported of the ratio of branching fractions $mathcal{R}(J/psi)=mathcal{B}(B_c^+,to,J/psitau^+ u_tau)/mathcal{B}(B_c^+,to,J/psi mu^+ u_mu)$, where the $tau^+$ lepton is identified in the decay mode $tau^+,to,mu^+ u_muoverline{ u}_tau $. This analysis uses a sample of proton-proton collision data corresponding to 3.0$mathrm{,fb}^{-1}$ of integrated luminosity recorded with the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies $7,mathrm{TeV}$ and $8,mathrm{TeV}$. A signal is found for the decay $B_c^+,to,J/psi tau^+ u_tau$ at a significance of 3 standard deviations, corrected for systematic uncertainty, and the ratio of the branching fractions is measured to be $mathcal{R}(J/psi) = 0.71 pm 0.17 mathrm{,(stat)} pm 0.18mathrm{,(syst)}$. This result lies within 2 standard deviations above the range of existing predictions in the Standard Model.
