A Riemannian n-manifold M has k-dimensional Uryson width bounded by a constant c >0 if there exists a continuous map f from M to an k-dimensional polyhedral space P, such that the pullbacks f^{-1}(p) of all points p in P have diameters bounded by c. We prove that an n-dimensional Riemannian manifold M with at least n-k eigenvalues of the Ricci curvature bounded below by a positive constant (n-1)b has k-dimensional Uryson width bounded by a constant c >0. The constant c depends only on b. In particular, it follows that a Riemannian n-manifold M with scalar curvature S bounded below by a positive constant n (n-1) s has (n-1)-dimensional Uryson width bounded by a constant c >0 depending only on s. This result confirms a conjecture of M. Gromov.

Consider a Riemannian manifold $(M^{m}, g)$ whose volume is the same as the standard sphere $(S^{m}, g_{round})$. If $p>frac{m}{2}$ and $int_{M} left{ Rc-(m-1)gright}_{-}^{p} dv$ is sufficiently small, we show that the normalized Ricci flow initiated from $(M^{m}, g)$ will exist immortally and converge to the standard sphere. The choice of $p$ is optimal.
We survey some recent developments in the study of collapsing Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded below, especially the locally bounded Ricci covering geometry and the Ricci flow smoothing techniques. We then prove that if a Calabi-Yau manifold is sufficiently volume collapsed with bounded diameter and sectional curvature, then it admits a Ricci-flat Kahler metrictogether with a compatible pure nilpotent Killing structure: this is related to an open question of Cheeger, Fukaya and Gromov.
The notion of the Ricci curvature is defined for sprays on a manifold. With a volume form on a manifold, every spray can be deformed to a projective spray. The Ricci curvature of a projective spray is called the projective Ricci curvature. In this pa per, we introduce the notion of projectively Ricci-flat sprays. We establish a global rigidity result for projectively Ricci-flat sprays with nonnegative Ricci curvature. Then we study and characterize projectively Ricci-flat Randers metrics.

We give a proof of the fact that the upper and the lower sectional curvature bounds of a complete manifold vary at a bounded rate under the Ricci flow.
