Quantum resource theory under different classes of quantum operations advances multiperspective understandings of inherent quantum-mechanical properties, such as quantum coherence and quantum entanglement. We establish hierarchies of different operations for manipulating coherence and entanglement in distributed settings, where at least one of the two spatially separated parties are restricted from generating coherence. In these settings, we introduce new classes of operations and also characterize those maximal, i.e., the resource-non-generating operations, progressing beyond existing studies on incohere

Coherence and entanglement are the two most crucial resources for various quantum information processing tasks. Here, we study the interplay of coherence and entanglement under the action of different three qubit quantum cloning operations. Consideri ng certain well-known quantum cloning machines (input state independent and dependent), we provide examples of coherent and incoherent operations performed by them. We show that both the output entanglement and coherence could vanish under incoherent cloning operations. Coherent cloning operations on the other hand, could be used to construct a universal and optimal coherence machine. It is also shown that under coherent cloning operations the output two qubit entanglement could be maximal even if the input coherence is negligible. Also it is possible to generate a fixed amount of entanglement independent of the nature of the input state.
Quantum coherence is one of the key features that fuels applications for which quantum mechanics exceeds the power of classical physics. This explains the considerable efforts that were undertaken to quantify coherence via quantum resource theories. An application of the resulting framework to concrete technological tasks is however largely missing. Here, we address this problem and connect the ability of an operation to detect or create coherence to the performance of interferometric experiments.
Quantum devices are systems that can explore quantum phenomena, like entanglement or coherence, for example, to provide some enhancement performance concerning their classical counterparts. In particular, quantum batteries are devices that use entang lement as main element in its high performance in the charging powerful. In this paper, we explore the quantum battery performance and its relationship with the amount of entanglement that arises during the charging process. By using a general approach to a two and three-cell battery, our results suggest that entanglement is not the main resource to quantum batteries, where there is a non-trivial correlation-coherence trade-off as resource for the high efficiency of such quantum devices.

Multi-party local quantum operations with shared quantum entanglement or shared classical randomness are studied. The following facts are established: (i) There is a ball of local operations with shared randomness lying within the space spanned by the no-signaling operations and centred at the completely noisy channel. (ii) The existence of the ball of local operations with shared randomness is employed to prove that the weak membership problem for local operations with shared entanglement is strongly NP-hard. (iii) Local operations with shared entanglement are characterized in terms of linear functionals that are ``completely positive on a certain cone K of separable Hermitian operators, under a natural notion of complete positivity appropriate to that cone. Local operations with shared randomness (but not entanglement) are also characterized in terms of linear functionals that are merely positive on that same cone K. (iv) Existing characterizations of no-signaling operations are generalized to the multi-party setting and recast in terms of the Choi-Jamiolkowski representation for quantum super-operators. It is noted that the standard nonlocal box is an example of a no-signaling operation that is separable, yet cannot be implemented by local operations with shared entanglement.
Continuous variable entanglement between magnon modes in Heisenberg antiferromagnet with Dzyaloshinskii-Moryia (DM) interaction is examined. Different bosonic modes are identified, which allows to establish a hierarchy of magnon entanglement in the g round state. We argue that entanglement between magnon modes is determined by a simple lattice specific factor, together with the ratio of the strengths of the DM and Heisenberg exchange interactions, and that magnon entanglement can be detected by means of quantum homodyne techniques. As an illustration of the relevance of our findings for possible entanglement experiments in the solid state, a typical antiferromagnet with the perovskite crystal structure is considered, and it is shown that long wave length magnon modes have the highest degree of entanglement.
