A two-dimensional chiral conformal field theory can be viewed mathematically as the representation theory of its chiral algebra, a vertex operator algebra. Vertex operator algebras are especially well suited for studying logarithmic conformal field theory (in which correlation functions have logarithmic singularities arising from non-semisimple modules for the chiral algebra) because of the logarithmic tensor category theory of Huang, Lepowsky, and Zhang. In this paper, we study not-necessarily-semisimple or rigid braided tensor categories $mathcal{C}$ of modules for the fixed-point vertex operator subalgebra $V^G$ of a vertex operator (super)algebra $V$ with finite automorphism group $G$. The main results are that every $V^G$-module in $mathcal{C}$ with a unital and associative $V$-action is a direct sum of $g$-twisted $V$-modules for possibly several $gin G$, that the category of all such twisted $V$-modules is a braided $G$-crossed (super)category, and that the $G$-equivariantization of this braided $G$-crossed (super)category is braided tensor equivalent to the original category $mathcal{C}$ of $V^G$-modules. This generalizes results of Kirillov and M{u}ger proved using rigidity and semisimplicity. We also apply the main results to the orbifold rationality problem: whether $V^G$ is strongly rational if $V$ is strongly rational. We show that $V^G$ is indeed strongly rational if $V$ is strongly rational, $G$ is any finite automorphism group, and $V^G$ is $C_2$-cofinite.

The main purpose of this paper is a mathematical construction of a non-perturbative deformation of a two-dimensional conformal field theory. We introduce a notion of a full vertex algebra which formulates a compact two-dimensional conformal field the ory. Then, we construct a deformation family of a full vertex algebra which serves as a current-current deformation of conformal field theory in physics. The parameter space of the deformation is expressed as a double coset of an orthogonal group, a quotient of an orthogonal Grassmannian. As an application, we consider a deformation of chiral conformal field theories, vertex operator algebras. A current-current deformation of a vertex operator algebra may produce new vertex operator algebras. We give a formula for counting the number of the isomorphic classes of vertex operator algebras obtained in this way. We demonstrate it for some holomorphic vertex operator algebra of central charge $24$.
We continue the program of constructing (pre)modular tensor categories from 3-manifolds first initiated by Cho-Gang-Kim using $M$ theory in physics and then mathematically studied by Cui-Qiu-Wang. An important structure involved is a collection of ce rtain $text{SL}(2, mathbb{C})$ characters on a given manifold which serve as the simple object types in the corresponding category. Chern-Simons invariants and adjoint Reidemeister torsions play a key role in the construction, and they are related to topological twists and quantum dimensions, respectively, of simple objects. The modular $S$-matrix is computed from local operators and follows a trial-and-error procedure. It is currently unknown how to produce data beyond the modular $S$- and $T$-matrices. There are also a number of subtleties in the construction which remain to be solved. In this paper, we consider an infinite family of 3-manifolds, that is, torus bundles over the circle. We show that the modular data produced by such manifolds are realized by the $mathbb{Z}_2$-equivariantization of certain pointed premodular categories. Here the equivariantization is performed for the $mathbb{Z}_2$-action sending a simple (invertible) object to its inverse, also called the particle-hole symmetry. It is our hope that this extensive class of examples will shed light on how to improve the program to recover the full data of a premodular category.
The idea of summing over all intermediate states that is central for implementing locality in quantum systems can be realized by coend constructions. In the concrete case of systems of conformal blocks for a certain class of conformal vertex algebras , one deals with coends in functor categories. Working with these coends involves quite a few subtleties which, even though they have in principle already been understood twenty years ago, have not been sufficiently appreciated by the conformal field theory community.

We introduce and study a category $text{Fin}$ of modules of the Borel subalgebra of a quantum affine algebra $U_qmathfrak{g}$, where the commutative algebra of Drinfeld generators $h_{i,r}$, corresponding to Cartan currents, has finitely many charact eristic values. This category is a natural extension of the category of finite-dimensional $U_qmathfrak{g}$ modules. In particular, we classify the irreducible objects, discuss their properties, and describe the combinatorics of the q-characters. We study transfer matrices corresponding to modules in $text{Fin}$. Among them we find the Baxter $Q_i$ operators and $T_i$ operators satisfying relations of the form $T_iQ_i=prod_j Q_j+ prod_k Q_k$. We show that these operators are polynomials of the spectral parameter after a suitable normalization. This allows us to prove the Bethe ansatz equations for the zeroes of the eigenvalues of the $Q_i$ operators acting in an arbitrary finite-dimensional representation of $U_qmathfrak{g}$.

The congruence subgroup property is established for the modular representations associated to any modular tensor category. This result is used to prove that the kernel of the representation of the modular group on the conformal blocks of any rational , C_2-cofinite vertex operator algebra is a congruence subgroup. In particular, the q-character of each irreducible module is a modular function on the same congruence subgroup. The Galois symmetry of the modular representations is obtained and the order of the anomaly for those modular categories satisfying some integrality conditions is determined.
