Lightlike hypersurfaces of a statistical manifold are studied. It is shown that a lightlike hypersurface of a statistical manifold is not a statistical manifold with respect to the induced connections, but the screen distribution has a canonical statistical structure. Some relations between induced geometric objects with respect to dual connections in a lightlike hypersurface of a statistical manifold are obtained. An example is presented. Induced Ricci tensors for lightlike hypersurface of a statistical manifold are computed.
We study lightlike submanifolds of indefinite statistical manifolds. Contrary to the classical theory of submanifolds of statistical manifolds, lightlike submanifolds of indefinite statistical manifolds need not to be statistical submanifold. Therefo
Some well-known Lorentzian concepts are transferred into the more general setting of cone structures, which provide both the causality of the spacetime and the notion of cone geodesics without making use of any metric. Lightlike hypersurfaces are def
In this paper, we give an explicit second variation formula for a biharmonic hypersurface in a Riamannian manifold similar to that of a minimal hypersurface. We then use the second variation formula to compute the stability index of the known biharmo
Let $M^n$ be a closed convex hypersurface lying in a convex ball $B(p,R)$ of the ambient $(n+1)$-manifold $N^{n+1}$. We prove that, by pinching Heintze-Reillys inequality via sectional curvature upper bound of $B(p,R)$, 1st eigenvalue and mean curvat
It is known that on a closed manifold of dimension greater than one, every smooth weak Riemannian metric on the space of smooth positive densities that is invariant under the action of the diffeomorphism group, is of the form $$ G_mu(alpha,beta)=C_1(
