The paper compares the asymptotic of the expressions $frac {1} {x} sumlimits_{n leq x} {f(n)}$ and $sumlimits_{n leq x} {frac {f(n)} {n}}$, $frac {1} {x} sumlimits_{p leq x} {f(p)}$ and $sumlimits_{p leq x} {frac {f(p)} {p}}$. The asymptotic of sums $sumlimits_{n leq x} {frac {f(n)} {n}}$ and $sumlimits_{p leq x} {frac {f(p)} {p}}$ ($n,p$ - respectively, positive and prime numbers) are determined if the asymptotic of sums are known, respectively: $sumlimits_{n leq x} {f(n)}$,$sumlimits_{p leq x} {f(p)}$.

In this note, we extend the definition of multiple harmonic sums and apply their stuffle relations to obtain explicit evaluations of the sums $R_n(p,t)=sum olimits_{m=0}^n m^p H_m^t$, where $H_m$ are harmonic numbers. When $tle 4$ these sums were fir st studied by Spiess around 1990 and, more recently, by Jin and Sun. Our key step first is to find an explicit formula of a special type of the extended multiple harmonic sums. This also enables us to provide a general structural result of the sums $R_n(p,t)$ for all $tge 0$.
We revisit a recent bound of I. Shparlinski and T. P. Zhang on bilinear forms with Kloosterman sums, and prove an extension for correlation sums of Kloosterman sums against Fourier coefficients of modular forms. We use these bounds to improve on earl ier results on sums of Kloosterman sums along the primes and on the error term of the fourth moment of Dirichlet $L$-functions.

Denote by $tau$ k (n), $omega$(n) and $mu$ 2 (n) the number of representations of n as product of k natural numbers, the number of distinct prime factors of n and the characteristic function of the square-free integers, respectively. Let [t] be the i ntegral part of real number t. For f = $omega$, 2 $omega$ , $mu$ 2 , $tau$ k , we prove that n x f x n = x d 1 f (d) d(d + 1) + O $epsilon$ (x $theta$ f +$epsilon$) for x $rightarrow$ $infty$, where $theta$ $omega$ = 53 110 , $theta$ 2 $omega$ = 9 19 , $theta$ $mu$2 = 2 5 , $theta$ $tau$ k = 5k--1 10k--1 and $epsilon$ > 0 is an arbitrarily small positive number. These improve the corresponding results of Bordell{`e}s.

An asymptotic formula for the number of partitions into p-cores is derived. As a byproduct some integer valued trigonometric sums are found

A $k$-sum of a set $Asubseteq mathbb{Z}$ is an integer that may be expressed as a sum of $k$ distinct elements of $A$. How large can the ratio of the number of $(k+1)$-sums to the number of $k$-sums be? Writing $kwedge A$ for the set of $k$-sums of $ A$ we prove that [ frac{|(k+1)wedge A|}{|kwedge A|}, le , frac{|A|-k}{k+1} ] whenever $|A|ge (k^{2}+7k)/2$. The inequality is tight -- the above ratio being attained when $A$ is a geometric progression. This answers a question of Ruzsa.
