In this letter we present a simple scenario where the mass scales associated to atmospheric and solar neutrino oscillations are obtained through the dynamical generation of neutrino masses. The main idea is that the two different scales are the result of two independent mechanisms, namely a type-I seesaw generating the atmospheric scale and a radiative 1-loop process providing the solar one. A relation of the two scales, reminiscent of the so-called sequential dominance, is thus obtained.
We study models in which neutrino masses are generated dynamically at cosmologically late times. Our study is purely phenomenological and parameterized in terms of three effective parameters characterizing the redshift of mass generation, the width o
In 2006, a simple extension of the Standard Model was proposed in which neutrinos obtain radiative Majorana masses at one-loop level from their couplings with dark matter, hence the term scotogenic, from the Greek scotos meaning darkness. Here an ana
We address the propagation and hadronization of a struck quark by studying the gauge invariance of the color-averaged cut quark propagator, and by relating this to the single inclusive quark fragmentation correlator by means of new sum rules. Using s
Heavy mirror fermions along with a new strong gauge interaction capable of breaking the electroweak gauge symmetry dynamically were recently introduced under the name of katoptrons. Their main function is to provide a viable alternative to the Standa
We generalize the scalar triplet neutrino mass model, the type II seesaw. Requiring fine-tuning and arbitrarily small parameters to be absent leads to dynamical lepton number breaking at the electroweak scale and a rich LHC phenomenology. A smoking g
