The top quark pair production $sigma_{tbar{t}}$ is measured in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 5.02 TeV. The analyzed data have been collected by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 27.4 /pb. The measurement is performed by analyzing events with at least one charged lepton. The measured cross section is 69.5 $pm$ 8.4 pb. The result is in agreement with the expectation from the standard model. The impact of the presented measurement on the gluon distribution function is illustrated through a quantum chromodynamic analysis at next-to-next-to-leading order.

The cross-section for inclusive phi meson production in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of sqrt(s) = 7 TeV has been measured with the LHCb detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The differential cross-section is measured as a function of the phi transverse momentum p_T and rapidity y in the region 0.6 < p_T < 5.0 GeV/c and 2.44 < y < 4.06. The cross-section for inclusive phi production in this kinematic range is sigma(pp -> phi X) = 1758 pm 19(stat) ^{+43}_{-14}(syst) pm 182(scale) microbarn, where the first systematic uncertainty depends on the p_T and y region and the second is related to the overall scale. Predictions based on the Pythia 6.4 generator underestimate the cross-section.
The latest results of the ATLAS experiment for the production of a top-quark pair in association with a photon using proton-proton collision data from the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV are summarised here. This includes inclusive and diffe rential cross-sections measurements performed in single-lepton and dilepton final states in a fiducial volume corresponding to the experimental acceptance.

We present preliminary results on inclusive direct photon production in $pbar{p}$ collisions at $sqrt{s}$=1.96 TeV, using data collected with the upgraded Collider Detector at Fermilab in Run II, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 451 pb$^{ -1}$. Measurements are performed as a function of the photon transverse momentum for photons with $p_{T}>$30 GeV and $|eta|<$1.0. Photons are required to be isolated in the calorimeter. The measurement is corrected to the hadron level and compared to NLO pQCD predictions.
We present a measurement of the inclusive jet cross section using the Run II cone algorithm and data collected by the D0 experiment in p pbar collisions at a center-of-mass energy sqrt(s)=1.96 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 0.70 fb ^(-1). The jet energy calibration and the method used to extract the inclusive jet cross section are described. We discuss the main uncertainties, which are dominated by the jet energy scale uncertainty. The results cover jet transverse momenta from 50 GeV to 600 GeV with jet rapidities in the range -2.4 to 2.4 and are compared to predictions using recent proton parton distribution functions. Studies of correlations between systematic uncertainties in transverse momentum and rapidity are presented.
The total cross section for top quark pair production close to threshold in e+e- annihilation is investigated. Details are given about the calculation at next-to-next-to-leading logarithmic order. The summation of logarithms leads to a convergent exp ansion for the normalization of the cross section, and small residual dependence on the subtraction parameter nu. A detailed analysis of the residual nu dependence is carried out. A conservative estimate for the remaining uncertainty in the normalization of the total cross section from QCD effects is $lesssim pm 3%$. This makes precise extractions of the strong coupling and top width feasible, and further studies of electroweak effects mandatory.
